Meatball - I LOVED the Vampire Academy series as well. It's definitely my favorite vampire YA right now, and WHOA that cliffhanger at the end of Shadow Kiss. I can't believe the author had the guts to go there. That's something I admire.

I've only read "Marked" and can't seem to bring myself to read the others even though I have them on my TBR shelf. I don't know, I just didn't really connect with the story. I found Zoey a bit annoying, and I kept confusing "Erin" and "Erik" while reading. I did like the ex-bf Heath and ex-hs friend Kayla. They were fun to read about.

I haven't read the Succubus series yet by Richelle, but it's definitely on my future reads list. I just got a Kindle so I'm trying to find books only available on there for now. I did hear it has a similar cliffhanger at the end of the 3rd book. Must be her style.

I also have the Blue Bloods 1st book on my shelf but haven't been motivated to read it yet because I prefer 1st person to 3rd person. Yes, I know I'm in the minority of this, but I always feel too distanced to the characters in 3rd person.

Have you read Evernight by Claudia Gray yet? It's good, it definitely has an interesting take on things, kind of switching up the Buffy angle. There's an unnecessary and unfair plot twist about 1/3 of the way through that seriously irked me because it required the 1st person protagonist to withhold vital information from the reader in order to get the SHOCKING moment reveal. But after my initial irritation, I enjoyed the book a lot.

Oh yeah and I also read most of Tantalize by Cynthia Leitch Smith, but stopped about 3/4 of the way through because I just didn't care about the story or the characters. It was because a lot of the plot revolved around saving a restaurant and solving a murder from a character I barely knew. I just couldn't get behind either of these things. The book involves Werewolves and Vampires.

I also read THE SUMMONING by Kelley Armstrong, not vampires but it has werewolves and other supernatural stuff. I adored this one, and now I'm going back to read all her adult titles in the Women of the Otherworld series.

ETA: I've been hearing really good things about JESSICA'S GUIDE TO DATING ON THE DARK SIDE or whatever the actual title is. Apparently it's funny, fresh, and has a steamy romance.

And if you like zombies or faeries, there are some intriguing-sounding books coming out later this year. THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH by Carrie Ryan and WINGS by Aprilynne Pike look really interesting. I also hear NEED by Carrie Jones is excellent. I haven't been so into faeries, I had issues with both of Melissa Marr's books even though everyone thinks Melissa=love, so I'm hoping another book can hook me on this new supernatural creature.
