Remove this ad Many of you have probably seen the two-hour documentary 'Ghost Adventures' which Sci-Fi has been showing every once in a while for a couple of years now. Well, now the guys have their own series on The Travel Channel and I just watched the first episode which is available On Demand. The show starts next Friday, Oct. 17th. The Good * It's just three guys with two video cameras. No teams of sound and cameramen running around making you question the origin of strange sounds like you find on other ghost shows. * No obnoxious score. There is a little scoring, but they let the scary scenes play out with real sound which is a VAST improvement on the over-produced nature of shows like Ghost Hunters. * They go around town first and interview local yokels, ie: Blair Witch Project. Very entertaining. Especially an old man who comes down with the vapors, and a former prisoner of the site being investigated. The Bad * The main guy, and his incessant narration are rather annoying. * I question the legitimacy of some of the townspeople. * They have their evidence analyzed by a Reno prostitute and her pimp you've got to see to believe. Overall, the show has a lot of promise. I defo like it more than Most Haunted, and I might actually grow to like it more than Ghost Hunters for the reasons I mentioned. Reccommended. I loved their documentary and the scene with the brick being tossed made my eyes water I was so freaked out. Although the main guy reminds me of those Gino kids with the fake tans and spiked hair in all the prom photos...

It's about time the Travel Channel showed something interesting. I'd lost interest when they started showing World Poker Tour for hours a day. I had to turn to the FLN to see any travel-related shows for god's sake.

Edited to add: Bahahahahahahahahaha!� I just watched this again and I forgot how hard I laugh when he first sees the brick fly and he starts screaming like a little girl "GAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!� GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!".� I just start roaring with laughter.� I'm pretty sure he wasn't going for pee your pants funny, but there ya go.� Does it to me everytime. Dude is a much better "talk" person than "narrator". He sucks donkey balls at narration, but when he's just talking on camera with other people he's decent. WTF with keeping in the old guy who falls over? It took a lot of cajones for the ex-prisoner to go back in and walk around with those guys. OK they are just about to go lights out. So far it's been entertaining. Even just the stories and accounts are fun to hear. Oh, but I would never buy a house on that street. Not really a seller's market ever there huh?

The one we've seen with the guy falling over, doesn't seem to be scheduled to actually air yet. But the episode they did show in the regular time slot, about a western bar, was pretty solid too. I think I'm really going to like this show. I already like it more than GHI, I think.

It's true! I double checked my sources and everything! I've got this show on my watch list. I like the testosterone-filled Animal House like atmosphere. I got to see Zak's butt crack during the scratches scene in the basement. I hope he takes off his shirt in every episode. He's a cutie. Let's start laying odds now that he becomes "possessed" by a demon by his provoking spirits. A Bishop in charge of exorcisms has warned him and everything! Gah!

I live here and have been there. I can say with 100% certainty it is haunted. I believe that actually did happen to him ( the scratches, I've seen that actually happen in the bar ) but to me it just looked like a rip off of ghost hunters. I'll prolly watch again just to see if they go to other places that are actually haunted.

In the prison ep he was yelling at the ghosts "I'm a new prison guard and you all need to get in your cells! Do you not like that I am yelling at you? Well tough! I will continue this you not liking me yelling at you!". I pictured a whole shit load of ghosts standing around rolling their eyes and giggling. Then doing ABSOLUTELY nothing so their show would tank. That's what I would have done anyway if I had been a ghost and he was being a douche like that. It was funny. I haven't seen the entire bar ep yet, but I'm going to watch it right now. You know I believe in ghosts too sam so I'm hoping that one is a better ep, but I swear that if I was a ghost and the Guido dude showed up hollering at me I'd wait until all the cameras were off and everyone was heading out and then I'd go up to Guido and whisper "Hey dumb fuck. Next time be nice and maybe we can talk". Then I'd squeeze his nutsack and blow really hard in his eyes. That'd show him. Plus no one would believe him. Heh. Now as for my lovely GH boys after I die I'm gonna go help those guys out. They deserve it. I'll manifest or something and go all googly oogly and wave my arms and shit so they can get it on camera. I love all of them. I might even squeeze Steve and Tango's butts. Not Grant or Jason because there's a respect issue towards their wives and all. Well.....maybe Grant. Swoon. eta: I do love this show. I will keep watching, but I like to make fun of the one guy. Plus it seems like the tech guy is hysterical and likes to give him shit too. I give them props because of the whole brick tossing thing because I had never seen anything like that before. Very scary.

That one guy with the jacked up teeth ALWAYS sees or hears something, but they never catch it on tape. When they do get an EVP or some footage, it seems fake. I dunno - the earlier eps of Ghost Hunters were awesome, but now its like they are going all cheesy and trying to force their show to be scary. I still like GH better than GA though.
