But this show? Not so much. Is there anything to like about her here? She is a nurse. +1. (or THIS! as we say now...) And she and her ilk swear a lot. Whatever. I think this show is targeted at frustrated women that wish they could be Edie who fuck strange often. And swear at their bosses. Or drug addicts. I don't know.

THIS And the biggest thing that bugs me about this show is the 30 minute Eps. Just as the show starts to get interesting, the credits roll. Nurse Jackie has many flaws. It is rare for a "comedy" to run for an hour, but I would like to see them attempt it with Nurse Jackie. I absolutely love Zoey; in fact, I think she is my favorite character. Don't know where they will go with this though, Jackie's two worlds will have to collide at some point. Get that kid some help too.

I might have laughed once or twice after seeing this more recent episode, and that's only because it involved Zoey. :)

It has far more in common with Dexter -- a sullen and scrappy do-gooder with an extremely dark side at complete opposite odds with their surface life with spouses that they are hiding big secrets from. All we need now is a program about a convent with a head nun who is secretly a porn star, and we'll be set. The problem with this show is that its trying so hard to not be a hospital show that its actually quite insulting to the profession it is portraying. It's inherited the hard, saturated edge of Six Feet Under without the humanity.

Dr. Coop all of a sudden being nice to Jackie telling her she needs to meet the girl he's fucking, and then all of a sudden he's a complete asshole who HATES her? British doctor looking up Jackie's nose and not being able to tell she's snorting. Guy she's fucking knows ZERO about her life? How does NO ONE (except for the british doctor) know she has a husband and 2 kids?? They've been working for years together.
