The HII doesn't even impact the game that much, it jst saves one person, it doesn't shake up the tribal configuration or make the game exciting.

Meh, it's here to stay. Think of it as an annoying veto.

The HII is the shittiest "twist" on Survivor now. It shouldn't even be called a twist anymore since it's a staple of the show as of 2 years ago, sadly. There's been some much shittier twists that the producers have come up with, but this is quickly climbing up there. There are so many things that I've bitched about the game changing, but this is definitely my biggest pet peeve. We don't need them to stop with Exile Island or to stop with the tribal swap pick 'ems. We need them to get rid of this fucking idol. |

I would say that a permanent return to the final two is the most necessary thing (if the double boot ain't happening in the next two weeks, we're
probably back to F3), but giving the idol a break for a few seasons definitely wouldn't hurt. As much as I dislike Exile Island, once the idol is found,
Exile takes up, like, two minutes of each episode, if that so it's not a huge deal. The idol usually eats up a third of the episode--and that's when it
doesn't come into play.

Dr. Will, you're not capable of understanding a lot of things, as seen by the Survivor Gabon ratings thread. If you really think that the HII is just a
random immunity for one person, than I pity you fo'real.

Hold on, that's unfair. I said I was unabashadly optimistic about this season, so of course I am going to shoot for a high rating. Of course 18 million
is unlikely, but the ratings increase is showing something. Is anyone here actually an expect in TV audience patterns? It is all speculation.

I told you. It was a last minute change because they had more people medevac/quit than was expected. So they changed the ending to make use of all
the challenges. Why else would they have 8 jurors?

I'm still holding out until it's announced that it will be a final three. The producers have made alot of dumbass decisions, but they are not stupid
enough to go back to it.

Perhaps Mark Burnett will think audience members will be "confused" if they switch back to a final 3.

I highly doubt that Burnett gives two shits about the show anymore.

Just because Cirie lost doesn't mean you can't appreciate Parvati when more than half of the cast had at least one invisible episode. |

The problem is that Mark Burnett is an outright liar. He says that "The key to Survivor being sucessful is that we haven't changed the format too
much", or something similar to that. Yes you have!

Re: Final 2 or Final 3, I read an interview with Paloma that might give it away...
When asked a question, she referenced a final 3, not a final 2. |

So they changed it just to fuck Cirie over and then changed it back.

Kitty is right, last season's F2 was a fluke. Face it, the HII and F3 are here to stay as long as the powers that be are.
