This show is soooo predictable! |

I'm a casual viewer and the editing for this show is worse than Top Model. Whenever you have the last two teams left, whoever is edited in a positive
manner saying positive things ("We're almost there!") gets eliminated, while the other team edited negatively ("Oh no! We need to do it
again!"; "Nope, that's wrong"; "This is so frustrating!") gets to stay. It's like that 98% of the time.

At least they have gotten better with "May be eliminated".

Next you will tell us about the Rattle snake sound whenever someone makes a wrong turn. They didn't actually play the rattle-snake sound when that local said that Marisa/Brooke "couldn't get lost", so I almost thought they had a chance of catching up for about five minutes. This season has been pretty predictable, but only due to 3 of the 4 boots being in last place for basically the entire episode (though Anthony/Stephanie's at least had some suspense due to the mass bunching at the Roadblock), which is the Survivor-equivalent of quitters/Pagongings. |

I don't think the eliminations have been that predictable - in Ep2 I really thought it would be Terence & Sarah after they got so lost and all the
taxis were passing them... in Bolivia when Kelly & Christy were the last ones at the wrestling ring I thought it might be them (changed my mind when they
were crying in the car).... and I've pretty much been predicting Andrew & Dan at some point in every episode. So I say only medium predictable.

I see it's still this way after several seasons of absence.

Actually, even without the edit it was obvious to me that who was first and who was next. AR is very chronologically logical in its sequence (ie. this happens 1st , so it gets aired 1st). Andie/Jenna was obv very behind on getting to the detour and finishing it, so they got no shot before the dramatic 'ending edit.'
I find this a much better predictor than the 'edit' really. |

There have been a few times when the editing was not as predictable. So that 2% chance keeps me on the edge of my seat.
And dont forget while the last 7 minutes is always predictable, theres no such thing as winners edit on TAR |

TAR's editing has also gotten more chronological, I guess, with the 24-style split screen transitions implying what we're seeing on the two screens are actually happening simultaneously.

When they used the interview quote from Andie/Jenna early in the show about how great the race was for bringing them together -- I knew they were dead meat.
