They looked impressive. Was it Ellington that got Tournament player? Two guard love. They were all good, but they are where they are because of Lawson. Dude is
a baller. It seemed like he was on the line every possession. Eight steals and only lost it once. Go get that green.
Now if those country teams would stop stealing away all the Chicago, Philly, DC, and NY talent, life would be good. |

If Jeff Sagarin's computer ever gets infected by a virus, I know one recent lead medal winner who would be totally screwed.

The only thing "every team has been playing for all season" is what North Carolina got.

But that proves what you said- that teams only played for the national championship- wrong.
Most teams aren't good enough to qualify for the championship. And with the conference championship, most games are not a factor when trying to get into a tournament. But teams still give it their best. They show up on court whether it's a game with no real NCAA Tournament implications in January or the NIT in March. They may know they're not the best. They just want to be better than the other guy. |

Somebody mentioned this at a private board, and I didn't believe them. Color me wrong.
Ty Lawson literally does break ankles, or at least right feet. 2 Michigan State guards to undergo foot surgeryEAST LANSING, Mich. (AP)-Michigan State guards Korie Lucious and Chris Allen will undergo surgery this week after each broke his right foot during Monday's NCAA basketball championship. The school announced Wednesday the surgeries will be performed Friday. Recovery is expected to take eight weeks. Lucious is a freshman. He was pushed from Ford Field in Detroit in a wheelchair after the Spartans fell 89-72 to the North Carolina Tar Heels. Allen will be a junior next season. |
