One hit wonder...Who wants to be a millionaire? Haha, no idea. Are there gameshows on this list?
Oh and just saying, Seinfeld, Friends, Survivor, SNL, The Simpsons, South Park, and Fear Factor all need to make this list. |

I'm calling it, the one season wonder is Freaks and Geeks. The only problem is that it would be way too low at #20

I have never seen an episode of the X Files but Mulder And Scully is my favorite song by 1990's Welsh Rock Band Catatonia.

Could the one season wonder be Wonderfalls? I would be satisfied with Freaks and Geeks though.

#20. Clone High
Probably the first big WTF moment on the list. Although it only lasted for a total of 13 episodes, Clone High was a hilarious show that aired in the early 2000's. The show was about a futuristic high school filled with clones of prominent historical figures (most importantly, Abe Lincoln, Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Ghandi and JFK). The school's principle was a mad scientist named Scudworth, and he had a robot named Mr. Butlertron. It follows the five clones as they make their way through high school and the awkward stage of adolescence. The show is one of the best shows you can ever watch while stoned - I don't know why, but the show is just exponentially funnier after a bong hit or two (not that it wasn't funny in the first place). The humour is outrageous at times but it isn't stupid, and it is able to pull of 'awkward' humour in a really great way. Oh, and two side notes - they make use of their narrator in a similar way to the Powerpuff girls. The animation style is also pretty damn cool and I have not seen it repeated with any other show (which again, becomes cooler with the ganja). The 'cast' is pretty great. Every character is funny in their own way and each makes use of very different styles of comedy. In fact, while I was writing this review, I was trying to decide my favorite one and all I could come up with was that it would not be Abe or Cleo - both of whom are still pretty funny. There are also brief cameos of other clones, and although not too much focus ever placed on them I suspect they would have been a little more utilized if the show had continued, which actually brings me to my next point. Clone High was canceled because of the backlash it received internationally, not in relation to its success locally. Indian people resented the light that Gandhi was represented in and in response protesters vowed to fast in retaliation towards the show - MTV backed down quickly and issued an apology while canceling it altogether (grrrr...). I'm not really clear on the entire story, except that it was not canceled due to lack of ratings. Although it sucked, the silver lining is that it was taken off of the air before it ever had the opportunity to get shitty. Definitely my favorite episode of the show is the one where Joan of Arc decides to join the basketball team. If you have 21 minutes and 33 seconds I highly recommend you watch it. I can't rate it any higher for a few reasons. First of all, it never had the opportunity to go down hill. Although it was great, it only lasted one season, and it is hard to rank a one season wonder above a show that was great for seven or eight. Also, I don't really think this show is for everyone. Although I personally find the humour to be really funny, I wouldn't be surprised if it just didn't appeal to others. |

I have a few friends who always tried to get me to watch Clone High, but I could never be bothered to do so
Oh and you're in about the same age range as me, Darius... please tell me you're a fan of Dawson's Creek! =D |

Dawson's Creek was pretty good, but I never really got too into it though. Too many of the characters annoyed me - Pacy and Jen were alright though. Also,
I loved how the 14 year olds had the same vocab as an average grad student.

Okay, I actually loled when the dolphin ripped off his mustache.
It's probably because of the one episode I've seen, but Joan is my favorite. Abe Lincoln seems like his character would get old pretty quickly. |

Never heard of it, but I just watched the episode you posted. Hilarious. Favorite parts were the Hitler clone, Toots driving, and the ridiculous Ghandi
storyline, but the entire episode was funny. I can definitely see why it was cancelled though.
Are the rest on that site? If so, I'll be watching them soon. |

Just found this list - it's pretty great so far. Brought all the memories of becoming obsessed with X-Files in primary school flooding back. And then
losing interest in the fifth season when they had some episode with killer trees and I realised it was all going horrible wrong.
In addition, one of my favorite Simpsons episodes of all time features Mulder and Scully (the one where Homer finds an alien). That was in the last season of the Simpsons I considered to be absolutely brilliant. And then every season after went down in quality a little bit - which makes me wonder if your ranking of the Simpsons (it almost has to be on here) will distinguish between early Simpsons and horrifyingly bad recent Simpsons. Also Clone High <3<3<3, one of many awesome shows cancelled after only one season. "I'm blinded by the light bouncing off Mena Suvari's gigantic forehead." |
