This list is much easier to do from the bottom up:
16) Earl. The guy's only competition was Yau-Man. And he sucked. He would have had his ass kicked on any other season. 15) Yul. Really not much better, imo. Strategically, there were so many blunders that season and so many players had no idea what to do, it was kind of pitiful. 14) Amber. The second time around, all of the people except Boston Rob and her had no idea what to do. Everyone else got worse. 13) Ethan. The guy's only moves in the game were throwing a challenge to get rid of Silas and getting rid of Brandon. More of Frank's and Brandon's bad gameplay than anything else (Tom should have been gone pre-merge instead of Lindsay). 12) Tina. She was an excellent player in the context of her season, but outside of that context she would fair poorly. She had enough religious people to manipulate her way to victory. 11) Sandra. In the context of her season, she was also amazing. However, when the game doesn't have 5 people who are all going to backstab and lie their way to the end, she fairs much, much worse. Oh, and the outcast twist ended up helping her a lot. 10) Tom. The guy had to do basically nothing to win. It was handed to him (not literally, but he had virtually no resistance and his strategizing wasn't that great). 9) Aras. The guy didn't play badly, but he didn't do that much. The best player in this season was easily Cirie. 8) Jenna. She was a complete bitch to everyone else and she still managed to win. The only reason she won was because everyone thought that the other finalist was a serial killer. 7) Parvati. She played a pretty good game, but the incredibly weak competition of the fans, Amanda's complete failure in final tribal councils, and Cirie expecting an F3 instead of an F2 gave her the win. Give us a good player instead of Chet and Ami or Eliza probably end up winning. 6) Vecepia. Her gameplay was incredibly subtle and she played pretty well. However, John's complete mismanagement of the game helped her the most, since she had the most to gain from it. 5) Danni. A 5-1 comeback is really good. She did have to make a few moves, but Rafe sort of blew it. 4) Chris. A 1-6 comeback, however, is quite impressive, especially when he has so much fun doing it and lies so excessively, and manages to bs his way through the final jury. 3) Richard. He would be higher if it weren't for the fact that the people he played with were morons (namely Dr. Sean). He did create survivor strategy and play a remarkable game, but some of the people he played against were completely and utterly terrible strategists. 2) Todd. Pretty much every big play in China had a lot to do with him (except for the Aaron. The James blindside was his idea first, but then he shelved it to get rid of Jean-Robert. Whatever Amanda says, Todd came up with the idea first). China didn't have that weak of a cast either. Overall, it was one of the stronger ones imo (not in terms of challenges, but in terms of strategic play). 1) Brian. The guy may have had terrible competition, but he was a complete sociopath and a brilliant lier. I don't think anyone could have beaten him. |
