Nancy/Emily (the originals and they were pretty sweet) Ron/Chris (ron is so QUOTABLE. chris was adorable. <33) Gus/Hera (*memories of gus washing with snow*) Wanda/Des (they were robbed  i remember wanda swimming in that pool :) aww just didn't see enough of them)
okay Susan/Patrick (the susan love, patrick hate so it balances out) Nick/Don (they count techincally. don sharing food with ron is the most random moment ever <3) Dennis/Andrew (i liked how they were so far behind that not even a ff could save them. but at least they accepted each other) blehhhkh Deidre/Hillary (not shown enough. perfect first boots) Toni/Dallas (starr/dallas fauxmance? pass. all i hear from them is dallas saying "i'm proud of my mom" times 2 in each episode) Duke/Lauren (duke seemed cool but lauren should of gone on the race with her gf) Steve/Josh- (??? i don't remember them) die Jim/Marsha (they really should of missed that first flight. jim was okay but marsha...no) |

LOVE - bright spots in shitty casts
1. Gus/Hera: probably the most evenly split parent-child team, in terms of hilarious father + loveable daughter 2. Steve/Josh: the only team with the balls to stand up to Reichen/Chip. 3. Susan/Patrick: so much drama, and still the most robbed team ever. 4. Duke/Lauren: the most likeable of the "diverse" TAR10 teams 5. Wanda/Desiree: didn't live up to their earlier potential, but Desiree's still c00t and their boot was the only feel-bad episode of the season LOVE - but up against other, better teams 6. Jim/Marsha: Jim's good-naturedness vs Marsha's bitchiness would have been interesting. I really wish they'd made it to the Final Four instead of the overrated Boring Moms 7. Momily: everyone loves them, but the Kevin/Drew vs. Guidos story overshadowed them 8. Ron/Christina: again, overshadowed by Nick/Don and Nate/Jenn. I loved them when they fought but they were fairly bland when they didn't 9. Dennis/Andrew: feel-good team screwed over by Heather/Eve, but too inept to get attached to. MEH - who cares 10. Deidre/Hillary: I was sad when I read a nude model was in the cast because I thought TAR was classier than that. Then they left and all was right with the world. HATE 11. Toni/Dallas: TWoP-fodder. In a cast like TAR10's, I would have probably rooted for them, but everyone else was more interesting this year, including Anthony/Stephanie. If you're throwing in the TAR8 ones: 1. Paolos 2. Gaghans 3. Schroeders 4. Rogers 5. Weavers 6. Bransens 7. Blacks |

I'm okay with contestants being horrible people, but everyone seems to think they're super nice people.

Don't get me wrong, they were a much stronger team than they looked like on paper and Ron did have some of the best quotes ever. I'm basing it more on
the fact that they ranked #1 by a sizable margin in the teams survey after TAR12 finished...they were a good team, but they weren't that good.
And yeah, I kind of debated where to put Toni/Dallas. They'll probably move down eventually, but I just don't have anything negative to say about them. Gus/Hera and Momily are the only parent/child teams I absolutely love which kind of surprises me when I think about it. |

If anything, THE MOST OVERRATED PARENT/CHILD TEAM IS DUKE/LAUREN! THEY WERE BORING AS HELL AND DID NOT EVEN WIN A LEG OR LAST FOR AT LEAST 5 EPISODES. UGH!!!!!!!! a) They were the only team with an interesting interpersonal storyline: the only other team that had one was Peter/Sarah and that was an obvious bickering-couple one b) They and Kellie/Jamie were the only TAR10 team who weren't self-righteous cnuts (or invisible Vipul/Arti types) c) A parent-child team getting 3rd and 2nd in the two toughest first legs ever was definitely an exciting thing back then (before Ron/Chris and Toni/Dallas were free from the curse) |

Love:
1. Ronald & Christina - the best, strongest parent/child team ever. 2. Gus & Hera - cute and funny, especially Gus. 3. Duke & Lauren - I really liked them and their constant encouragement of one another, and I thought they were robbed. 4. Nancy & Emily - the original parent/child team! What's NOT to love? 5. Wanda & Desiree - Team Boricua was very entertaining and were definitely robbed! Like: 6. Jim & Marsha - mostly for Marsha. But I like how Jim soldiered on with an injured knee. 7. Susan & Patrick - Patrick was bitchy, but I thought he was an entertaining kind of bitchy. And Susan seemed really nice. 8. Toni & Dallas - I'm really surprised I've put them this low, honestly. I like them, but I seem to like the seven team above them so much more. Neutral: 9. Deidre & Hillary - the only parent/child team to get eliminated first. They were nice, but if even the Gutsy Grannies can outrace you, you deserve to go. Neutral because one episode just wasn't enough for me to get to know them. Dislike: 10. Dennis & Andrew - kinda boring, really, but not in a really objectionable way. Hate: 11. Steve & Josh - Steve was okay, but I HATED Josh with the fire of 10,000 suns! From his dickish move toward Monica & Sheree to his uncalled-for comments about Tian & Jaree, I was so happy to see him get his comeuppance on leg four of TAR4. And no, ADC, they WEREN'T the only team to stand up Reichen & Chip. Steve & Dave did, too. |
