Remove this ad (aside from Dan's boot) could this season be more awesome in terms of being anti-alpha males (and a tag-along queen cough cough) ??!! DAN is the LOVE, Charcunt the tag-along queen, Ace the entertainment and Marcunt...ehh..vanilla alpha-male... but I mean in terms of 4 relatively athletic and capable male (again Charlie is on the borderline) Last Edited By: JamesM 11/13/08 08:33 PM. Survivor is at its best when the facade of a survival game is broken down by really smart, traditionally weaker people. That;s why all the best seasons were won by females.

That means it becomes entertaining not because of what's happening onscreen, but in reaction to what's not happening. Marcus and Charlie were boring, but I thought Ace and Dan were both entertaining, memorable players. They weren't the generic alpha males, and I don't think the season is great just because they're gone. If anything I think their presence would have offset some of the people who have lucked their way into the merge.

Remove this ad Dan's boot was so predictable though, so I wouldn't really categorize him with all the other alpha-males. He was at a disadvantaged position ever since the first tribal mix-up. I don't understand how Charlie could call him a "power player" either, the guy had no opportunity to play the game under those circumstances. But I'm glad he's gone now that we've seen Charlie/Marcus get voted out back-to-back It wouldn't have been possible if they had Dan there, who would've been loyal to them (unlike Suzie).
