I love "Love Actually", but it's tough to show it to tightwads...nudity and all...
Emma Thompson(sp?) rocks that overall. For anyone that has not seen this movie - there is something for everyone. Watch it way before the holidays... |

oh, thank you for the topper clip! i love movies like that - have you ever seen any of the tv series they did of it in the 50's? leo g. carroll as topper,
anne jeffries as mrs. kerby, forget who else was in it....not as wondrous as cary grant and constance bennet, but mighty fun.
i should've added any frank capra movie to my list, as well....'you can't take it with you' is the best of the bunch, but i'll watch any of them when they show up on tv. i was 13 or so when ted turner started tbs in atlanta - it was one of the very first uhf stations there and ran mostly old sitcoms like 'i love lucy' and old movies. that was where i first saw 'it's a wonderful life' at like 2:00 am on christmas morning....no one else i knew had ever even heard of it, and every year i'd stay up really late christmas eve to watch it. there were hundreds of other great old movies, and i watched them all. so nice to find another fan of them! btw, have you ever seen 'my man godfrey'? another classic screwball comedy. |

I love all of them really. It's too perfect to spend a rainy Sunday watching AMC.
I love My Man Godfrey! Ooooh and His Girl Friday? This is the classic fast ass dialogue.... |
