I'm kinda jealous of him. I wish I had his body.
He is a pretty kickass Bond, though. |

I know people default to Connery as being the best, but he seemed to me to be some bored aristocrat who got into the spying business to jazz up his sex life.
Craig doesn't seem to be to-the-manor-born. He's got edge and he seems to be more of a hired thug. I love him as bond! |

Daniel Craig all the way for me, I didn't even like Bond films until him.

Craig has zero suave or wit.
I'll take Brosnan anyday. |

1. Sean Connery - The complete Bond. Tough as nails, charming, suave, witty, ruthless.
2. Roger Moore - Early to mid Roger Moore. Campy, funny, but lacking in the toughness except for a few films. The Spy Who Loved Me was a great Bond. 3. Timothy Dalton - A more suave version of Daniel Craig's cold Bond. 4. Daniel Craig - Totally humorless blunt instrument. Getting kind of boring. No spark of wit or charm. Jason Bornd. 5. George Lazenby - Could have been good, but a bit stiff. One of the best Bond films, though. 6. Pierce Brosnan - Wimpy, whispery PC Bond. |

Brosnan in Goldeneye.

1. Sean Connery - Connery the only Bond that had the humor and the sex down. I think Connery always allowed for the women, villains, and henchmen to excel a
fault of Bronsen and Craig. Connery is also the only Bond that could play subtle, the train sequence From Russia with Love is a perfect example of that.
2. George Lazenby - It's unfair to judge an actor who played the part once versus actual actors who had a legacy with the part, but Lazenby gave a great performance he starts off as flat and as the film progresses the performance gets better. 3. Daniel Craig - Is the first Bond to take a freash look at the character, his blunt basic version of Bond works really well within a Bond story structure. Often the best parts of a Bond film are a action sequence or a sex scene, Craig has had his characters build to the climax. The end of both films have been the best parts of each films. 4. Pierce Brosnan, he would be on the bottom of the list if not for his performance in Die Another Day he would be. Brosnan started off strong and ended strong with some terrible films in the middle, in the end he felt like a fairly bland Bond but he was distinct enough. 5. Roger Moore, I've seen the best Moore films and although I like the films but I hate Moore, he always feels out of place and over-shadowed by the villains. I think Yaphat Koto, Christopher Lee, and Christopher Walken carry those films, while Moore bumbles his way through. Lazenby played off Savales, Connery brought his own personality, Craig and Bronson have lacked quality villains. 6. Timothy Dalton, played a great Bond villain in Hot Fuzz. I'm going to watch The Living Daylights tomorrow so maybe he'll move ahead of Moore. |

1) Sean Connery - Defined the role. By far the best
2) Daniel Craig - Didn't like the choice at first, but the guy pulled off a modern, badass Bond 3) Pierce Bronson - Solid, just had bad writing in the last two films 4) Roger Moore - More of an agent-type from Avengers, than a Bond. But added some humor 5) George - never saw the Bond with him in it, but I HATE HATE HATE the Dalton Bond, so it can't be worse 6) Tim Dalton - SUCKS, wanted to punch him in the throat |

Pierce Brosnan in Goldeneye - Making the longest waiting Bond film in six year gap.

Daniel Craig is obviously the best because this question is always brought up very passively, as if it's sacreligious to disparage Sean Connery. But we all
know.

George Lazenby. Actually, On Her Majesty's Secret Service could have been the best Bond film if Connery had played Bond. Come to think of it, with CGI, how tough could it be to put Connery's face over Lazenby's, and dub the voice? |

The Annoying Hater wrote:I agree with the order of this list, but not really with the reasons. Obviously Connery is Bond, and there will never be better in most eyes. Daniel Craig has the potential to be better, and I knew he would be a great choice right away. I really liked Pierce's Bond, but like others have said, a few bad movies ruined his chances to be considered a great Bond. Roger Moore owes his life to the role, but he was average at best. George Lazenby suffers from only having one Bond movie, but he was only Bond in one movie for a reason. Oh, and Timothy Dalton was a horrible Bond. |
