There was something about cookies...
ETA Seriously, what was the deal with Susie all of a sudden? Shouldn't Crystal have continued to be the target, both of vituperation and of voting?

I thought the conversation between Bob and Corrine at the end of the "previews" was rather interesting.
He was telling her about the immunity that Marcus had them throw into the ocean....implying that Marcus told Bob where he had buried it after secretly slipping it out of the bottle....and the implication that Bob was now in ownership of said article. He even had something wrapped in a piece of cloth that he was holding in his hand when he told her this. What do you think? BS to save his butt, or does he really have it? |

Jabor, Marcus stated in interview that the idol he threw in water was gone (paraphrasing here)
General consensus believes he said this to Corrinne as a matter of bullshit |

Mostly I have questions:
I walked out of the room for two seconds and missed cookie-gate, so when they talked about it, it didn't make sense to me. Does it make me a bad person that I was a little TOO happy that Corrine didn't win the IC even *with* a special advantage? Was anyone else shocked that Randy didn't turn on Bob and scream "LIAR!!!"? He left much more calmly than I was expecting. Really got a kick out of Crystal talking so loud in the voting booth, though she usually isn't my cup of tea. And am I missing the Good Vs. Evil thing that Jeff keeps touting? Cause I'm not seeing it, unless it's just that the now-nearly-defunct Onions thought they should win just because of who they are. Yea, Jabor, that Bob Corrine conversation is interesting. Is Bob blowing more immunity idol smoke or did this really happen. And if so, why didn't Marcus take it with him to TC as a precaution? Too sure of his "alliance" with Crystal? Finally, I think Sugar has lots more game than I thought she did. She was acting very savvy about alot of people last night. |

If Corrine falls for that then she is stupider than Erick.

The recrap title originates with Matty's audition tape. It includes Matty with his dog and girlfriend, one of which we may see at the family visit. |

Was anyone else shocked that Randy didn't turn on Bob and scream "LIAR!!!"? He left much more calmly than I was expecting. With all the talk about burning the camp down, I was sorta half expecting some sort of physical brawl at tribal council. Maybe some flaming thatch. I'm not sure Randy at that point knew Bob was the liar. |

I'm not sure Randy at that point knew Bob was the liar.True. At that point Randy was probably in shock. I have to say that the whole "setting up of Randy" thing wasn't nearly as satisfying as it seemed during the earlier part of the episode. I felt bad for him because even Charlie and Marcus were laughing their heads off. Corrine and Bob were the only ones who didn't laugh.. |

well sugar don't win even if she makes f2, openly pissing someone off at the auction then treating tc like a joke. you do not do that to early jury boots
you can do that to the latter f3 or 4 boots now randy will piss in the other jurers ears. matty is still the good guy this season.

If Bob does feed Corrine the story about Marcus not throwing the HII into the ocean and hiding it for Bob to find AND Corrine buys it.... then it is Corrine
who is the MORON. Because if that scenerio were true, wouldn't Randy have been given a "real" HII and consequently Randy would still be around.
Bob should have simply told Corrine that the HII he gave Randy was something he "found" at exile and let Corrine speculate as to how Bob came across
a "fake" HII. Natch, she would believe that Sugar in her numerous visits to exile got bored and had some arts and crafts time. She would have seen
Bob and Randy as falling victum to sugar's evil.

yea bob is playing a dumb game no wonder people did not talk good about him post game, this reunion may be the most bitter since allstars, wonder if they will
have the no booze rule at this one. charle thinks ken called him a fag, bob is handing out fake idols sugar acts like a 2 year old crystal is to loud an
bitchy, matty is the only nice one out there, so they won't let him make it to f2

Why did Bob even go along with that plan? To move from seventh to sixth? What happened to, "You don't need a gun to rob a bank if they think
you've got one"? I have an odd crush on that guy... but that wasn't a good idea.

Well, we won't know for sure until we see where Bob lands how bad a move it is.
With Sugar in a sweet (no pun intended) position, securing trust with her could help him even further than one place. He came through for what he even said was Sugar to have satisfaction; she may align with him and he can move further than others she is currently working with. We can't know until we see where Bob lands |

I agree, Bob thought he was doing the right thing to make it further in the game. I don't think it was on the top of his list to humiliate Randy. Plus, he
didn't know that everyone would laugh in his face. Bob feels that by helping Sugar do what she wanted, she will turn around and help him by not voting him
out as soon as he was going to. We just have to wait to see if this happens.
I have no idea why the Marcus-threw-the-idol-but-not-really-and-he-told-me-where-he-hid-it story would be of any relevance unless the majority alliance is trying to pull the same ploy on Corrinne. So, they make another idol and tell Bob to tell Corinne some story about ho Marcus really wanted her to have it. If so, wow, but it's probably something really different. |

i know the cameras panned in on the Idol attached to the bottle that was set adrift.
I know Marcus said in his intereviews that there was no way he could get that idol off the bottle But is is possible it was all just editing and misleading and he really DID hide the HII back at camp? Would you put it past Survivor to make it appear that they sent it adrift and instruct Marcus to deny he kept it, all in an attempt to create drama/a storyline later on? Some folks have said that if marcus really did have it, he would have taken it and used it at TC that night. But if Marcus felt convinced Suzie was with him (and cockiness would do that to you), he wouldn't have felt he needed to take it with him, hence the reason he didn't use it to save himself. Isn't it at least slightly plausible that he did keep it, he did hide it, he told Bob about it and once Marcus got voted out, Bob beelined for the hidden stash and snagged it for himself? I'm trying to make sense of the previews. Going for a second FHII is unnecessary and has an extremely high probability of failing. It's possible that Bob is just stringing Corinne along with a story of a real HII buried back at Kota when in reality there isn't one. But if that's the case, they would have to sneak away, travel to Kota (how far away is it), possibly into dangerous land, just to retrieve it. And in the end, Bob wouldn't be able to produce the goods, so why make it all up? Even if it IS real and Bob either has it or is planning a trip to go find it, it'll only save them for 1 TC. After that, it's still 4 vs 2. They'll still get picked off. I just don't get it. |

Trixiego wrote:That's very true... however, I was thinking that, as of last night, his move had no strategic value. This is not an instance of blindsiding for the sake of furthering yourself in the game. He was already safe with this vote. Sugar didn't make him any promises either, just some vague ones and Bob had no reason to believe that he would be replacing someone in the Ken/Susie/Matty/Sugar/Crystal alliance. So he is in the same position he would be in, if he did not participate in that little drama. |

If someone gets voted off holding the HII, it goes back into hiding at Exile non-Island. You aren't allowed to steal a HII from someone's belongings.
But, if you find one that someone else has hidden, is it yours?

I'm not sure Bob believed he was safe. We saw two episode ago that he felt very vulnerable, and with the obvious Marcus and Charlie boots gone, he could
reasonably feel vulnerable again. There was serious discussion from Fang that Bob needed to be booted first, as the biggest immunity threat. (From what we saw,
the only reason he wasn't targeted was because Randy went over the top.) So at the least, Bob needed to make sure he stayed one more round.
Would you put it past Survivor to make it appear that they sent it adrift and instruct Marcus to deny he kept it, all in an attempt to create drama/a storyline later on?I don't believe that they tell people to plant false clues in their post-boot interviews, although I think sometimes people take it upon themselves to do that. I don't think Marcus cares enough to bother. I think he believes what he said, that no way could someone go back to the beach because they would get eaten, because I think he is genuinely afraid of the huge scary jungle. However, even some of the less competent Fang members (GC, Ace&Matty) have shown us that you can wander around out there and won't automatically die. My best guess at this point is that the promo bit we saw had part of the conversation chopped out. I think it's more like "What if I tell ?Kenny that Marcus didn't really throw the idol in the ocean..." I think Bob is proposing to Corinne that they pull a trick on Fang, like Sugar pulled on him.
