At the end of season 2, when Locke and Desmond play with the numbers, did they actually move the island? If you look at the end of season 4 when Ben moves the
island, the sky turns the same colour, and the same noise is made. So does this mean the island was moved in season 2 and 4?

There has been some speculation that it may have moved when Des blew up the Swan station. FYI, in the video game Lost: Via
Domus, this was revealed to be behind the thick concrete wall ... huge electromagnetic coils suspended above an open pit, and the whole thing slowly
decaying.
