I figured I'd actually be un-Sucks-like and give you a real answer:
Elisabeth and Colleen both were asked and declined, which is how we ended up with Amber and Jenna L. As far as I know everyone else in the cast was a first choice castaway. There were six (I think) alternates but all I remember is that the list included Paschal (S4) and Ken (S5). SurvivorFever.net had Sandra (S7) and Ken (S5) as alternates on their list of castaways (before the cast was officially announced). |

I'm not positive but from what I remember.... Kelly Goldsmith was asked to be on All-Stars, she was packed and all ready to go, and 1-2 days before flying out to film, they did a last minute replacement and switched out Kelly G. for Shii-Ann. |

IIRC Sandra and Ken were part of some spoiled list of 20 people (that correctly had everyone else), but I don't know how far they were in the process.

Sandra is scared of the ocean. Vecepia was having a baby, and Neleh around the same time too. |

No, Neleh wasn't pregnant. Rumor has it that she was rejected because she refused to wear the bikini that production wanted her to. Too bad, b/c Neleh
instead of Amber would have saved the season.

If I remember correctly, the rumor I heard about the Kelly G thing was that they originally had Christy cast, then swapped her for Kelly G, and then literally
it was a day or so before they were set to fly out and they swapped Kelly G for Shii-Ann to represent all 7 seasons.
And I recall they asked Mike back for All-Stars, but I'm not positive on that. I definitely remember Ken/Sandra being alternates and wondering if Ken was an alternate, why didn't they add his useless ass to the list of others like Amber/Jenna L./Rob M./Alicia/Rupert. Could have made a great tribe of useless choices! |
