Skupin was asked and bumped for Rupert. Skupin was also asked to do Guatemala with Stephenie (instead of Bobby Jon) but declined. And I think he was asked for Micronesia too but I'm not sure.

They asked every single player from S1 to S6 (not sure if S7 was included in that original first round) and chose their players based on who said they were interested. ETA: Although I think it's safe to say Stacey Stillman was not asked.

Sandra had ticks I believe which is why she didn't want to do it, and Brian Heidick wanted too large a fee, allegedly. Vecepia was I believe the only winner they didn't really want back.

Colleen & Elisabeth are the only ones who turned it down who where on Marks orginal list. So they automatically turned to Jenna Lewis and Amber...when they should have gone to Kelly Goldsmith and Neleh. Osten Taylor was the only castaway to give a solid no. The top 24 included Mike Skupin, Ken Stafford, Rodger Bingham, Sandra Diaz-Twine, Christy Smith & Kelly Goldsmith. Then they cut to 18 and left 6 of them not participating. Sandra & Ken where alternates. Sean Rector was highly considered as was John Carroll, Keith Famie & Paschael English. Brian Heidik never asked for a fee...and Vecepia was asked but never considered after saying yes...producers decided to make Sandra the alternate therefore cutting her themselves. Mike Skupin was asked back for Guatamela, but declined. Not asked back for Micronesia. Johnny Fairpaly was the only Pre ASS to be asked back for Micronesia.

Sandra said in her thread here that she turned the offer down because she had just gotten back from Panama, and didn't want to be away from her kids for another season of the show. Neleh worked for CBS so COULDN'T participate...none of this bikini crap...

Definitely the airport part but not sure about the 2 days before they left part. I'd also heard that several of the players asked for appearance fees but that they told them all that they'd lose their spots if they kept that up. That's why they felt the past Survivors had gotten egos
