LOL Sun. Have some chocolate pie!
My arcs are at the same point they were last week. Did the re-crap make anyone change their minds about any of the players? |

Kenny has that funny wobble that the recrap didn't fix.
In the last real episode, the previouslies were all about Kenny, attributing to him the last three boots (even though we had seen with our own eyes that the movers were Crystal, Susie and Sugar), and claiming that the only things in his way were the real and the fake immunity idols (even though neither of them has ever seemed to have anything to do with him). Plus Probst's blogs and previews keep talking about his emerging leadership/cockiness. So the episode started off with standard boot decoy editing, which could have been kept up at the auction, since Ken was involved in pretty much every bid, including the exile, and made some pretty questionable decisions (including the exile, and letting Corinne have the immunity advantage). Even his auction interactions with Sugar could have been slanted to be about him, not about her as they were editing. But what happened was Ken pretty much vanished from the episode after the prviouslies. Then the recrap pretty much focused on the players still in the game, but less Ken than we've been seeing. The hiding of an eventual winner or finalist? He's just not that interesting? I'm guessing that the Probst's previews, and the episode voiceovers were recorded ahead of time, before he bopped off to Brazil. Did the show editors just decide to go all out Randy in his boot episode, abandoning their usual formula for the pure entertainment? So Probst's pre-recordings were a little out of sync with the show as aired. I think we should have been seeing a pride cometh before a fall arc for Ken. |

I think they are desperately trying to turn Ken into Todd 2.0, but he's much more reserved personality-wise and just doesn't give off the arrogance
they need to make it work.

Watching Kenny and his interaction during strategy, he is seems very passive. He doesn't come across with big "in your face" demands like Matty
did when he was telling the alliance to vote out Bob, Randy, Corrine (or was it Bob, Corrine, Randy). During that entire segment, Kenny pretty much kept
silent. He listens and doesn't seem to throw his opinions out there. He seems to be analyzing not only what people are saying but gauging their body
language and reading "between the lines" so to speak. It makes sense when you look at the recap episode because in Kenny's audition video we
had Kenny explaining how he finds success in professional game playing. Seems his biggest asset is his ability to anticipate other players moves before they
make them. That segment went a long way with me to explain how Kenny is playing the game. I think that if we were to see Kenny and Crystals plans, we would
get a better idea of exactly how Kenny is participating in the strategy and about how accurate his "anticipating what moves certain players are going to
make." All we have really seen is that so far (and correct me if I am wrong), Kenny's big move has been to lie to Sugar about Ace. (I don't
really see is as a lie because I believe that Ace/Matty were planning to get rid of Sugar just not right away as implied by Kenny)
He and Crystal seem to have good strategy sessions. I would love to be privy to all that goes on between those two. Right now they seem to be the team to beat despite Kenny's lack of screen time during the recap. |

I found the fact Kenny wasn't featured much interesting, as I did Bob being included as an underdog. Bob had the best home vid.
We got to see Corrine "hating" people that haven't got degrees, I get the feeling that's the sum of her reason for hating. Oh that and her being disgusted people didn't know types of food, which funnily enough featured the doctor not knowing (but I did, YAY me!), so degree doesn't equal you're the brightest food wise and yet she made it a big deal. BTW, that pate looked really disgusting, I've never seen pate in a jar with liquid, is that normal over there? And is it really expensive? I'm not overly up in the money department and I still buy it and make it. That reminded me of Ace in his exit interviews saying that people on Fang talked about food stamps (the horror!) and cheap food he wouldn't eat in a challenge. No baked beans on toast if you ever visit my house, you two, you wouldn't appreciate it! I did lol at her saying that Sugar sucks because she relies off the kindness of others seeing as Corrine got to college on a full scholarship. Does that not count as the kindness of others? Would Corrine have her VIP piece of paper if scholarships didn't exist? This seems to tie in with all the other "educated" people that looked down on the plebs, so she's toast, with or without baked beans. Crystal had a wonderful recap, as did Matty, although his was about doing Survivor for other people. I've got no idea who's going to win but I'm enjoying seeing what will happen next. :-) |

I thought crystal received the best recap out of all of them, yes they didn't focused on her as much as the big three (Matty, Sugar, Corrine). But they
managed to gloss over all of her negative moments and only include her strategy side. It really did make her seem like the strategist in the recap episode.

Donuts, I don't get the impression Corrine went to college on a financial need scholarship. There are scholarships that are awarded for academic
achievement only. My brother had one.
She's an elitist bitch, for sure. |

Corrine makes me cringe.
Sugar is in the finals. Kenny? Not so sure. Susie. Probably. Matty- Is getting the Boo Bernis editing. Leaving some eye candy for the final five episode, much like Boo in Fiji. Big question: Would anyone want to be sitting in the finals with a mother? Not me! |

Finally watched the episode yesterday. Too much going on Thursday.
So I found it interesting that every single player left in the game got a good recap in terms of what they showed us. All positive with the glaring exception of Corrine. Either they really, really want us to dislike her or she just is as horrible as they've shown. And for the record, even if you get an academic scholarship, you are still relying on the kindness of strangers. Someone donates that money! (Yeah, elitist bitch is a pretty good way to describe her, also major entitlement issues there, but I digress). Also I note that in the preview they have Sugar caught between "good" in the form of Matty and "evil" in the form of Corrine. So I guess that's our good vs. evil storyline but it seems to me they're somewhat forcing it on us. I've made no secret that I like Kenny and hope he'll win (which probably means he's booted this week) and I found the fact that he's not just a gamer, but makes MONEY at it kind of interesting. I also adored his braces. He really has grown up since that tape was made, eh? Corrine should be out next unless she wins IC. I find Bob really puzzling. I don't understand his strategy in going along with Sugar's plan but still hanging onto Corrine. Even more than not wanting to be next to a mother at F2 I wouldn't want to be next to Bob or Mattie, two players who haven't pissed off anyone on the jury yet. I would LOVE to be sitting next to Crystal and/or Sugar though. Thinking one or both make it to at least F3. |
