According to Google trends, USA, Canada, Philippines are the top 3 countries obsessed about Survivor. Singapore and Australia come next.
So what's the reason for this? Why aren't other countries watching Survivor? |

Australia would be right up there in the top 3 if the damn Nine Network here didn't wait 8 months or more to screen it, and had a better timeslot than
10.30pm. Dickheads. They do just about everything they can to have it NOT rate well.

Well, here in Brazil, Survivor airs on a cable channel that airs a season whenever they want. And, um, they started with Vanuatu and then after repeting
Vanuatu once or twice, they aired Guatemala (so people were probably like "Stephenie and Bobby Jon who????") until this week. I heard some other
channel aired some earlier seasons, and yet another channel (yes they keep moving the show from channel to channel) aired Amazon once and that was when I first
watched Survivor and got into it. Never mind Pearl Islands and All-Stars, those seasons were never aired here.
That's why I don't even bother to watch Survivor on tv since they're 6 seasons behind. There are a couple brazilian message boards where people that also watch it on the internet discuss about the current season. So that's one reason why is it hard for people to get obsessed about the show here, it doesn't get a good treatment. |

The people my age prefer scripted shows like Grey's or other reality shows like American Idol.. Most of my friends stopped watching Survivor after S2. (Canadian here) |

With the advent of YouTube and sharing software, it's not hard to catch the show. If it wasn't for them, I would not have able to watch FIJI onwards.

Hmm. Almost everyone has heard of the show here, I guess. But obsessed? I don't really think so. Most don't have the patience/time to watch it anymore.

We only got 2 seasons of survivor over here in the UK and that was over 5 years ago, i also don't think any of the USA series have been shown here either,
So the UK isn't that obsessed (but i am!)
