I suppose everyone had a shot record as an infant, but I have never heard of an adult having one. You seem to have a spotty yet varied knowledge base. Were you home schooled? I mean that in the nicest way possible. |

You don't need a dog bite. Cat scratches also qualify.
Just tell your regular doctor that it has been more than 10 years since your last tetanus booster shot. Pay your co-pay and you're good to go. |

I have managed to avoid getting a tetanus shot for at least 20 years now. I suppose now that I have a baby I should suck it up and get one but I'm a sissy
girl.

I hadn't had one since I left for college, but then a few years ago I was at my Dr. and they decided to check out my file and saw that I hadn't had one
in ages, so they gave me one, and then when I was chilling in my car after the accident one of the ambulance people just climbed in and stabbed me before I
could tell her I just had one a year ago.

I burned myself with a soldering iron at work and had to get one about six years ago... had an allergic reaction. Arm swelled up like softball sized was
horribly red and hot to the touch, I was sick. Stupid tetnus. I don't know what the hell happens when I need another.
and yea can't you go to a health dept for the shot? |

after having a cat bite my twice and seeing the green/blue streaks of infection running up my arm within 6 hours, I would recommend getting a tetanus shot
and it was my own stupid (really stupid) cat that bit me when I taking him in to get his balls removed |
