What exactly is tetanus? I know about lockjaw but how real is the threat? Sounds like CB had blood poisoning. I got my first tetanus shot in 50 years and
had to go all over town looking for a doctor that actually had the vaccine. It didn't hurt, but I had that swollen golf ball reaction for a few weeks.
Then the doctor's office manager had to bitch about ordering it because it costs $600 for ten vials and she'll never use the other nine. I hope she
gets lockjaw.

Getting cut by anything rusty can cause the disease. The shot hurts like hell and you have a painful lump on your arm for up to a week, but the good thing is
you only need one every 10 years.
