They only ever end up showing the 10 big awards on TV anyway. Also don't they already have The Latin Grammys? Are you going to start adding Best Non-Latin Pop Performance of the Year to the list of awards you hand out there? The Grammys are just a big concert of all the songs they over play on pop radio all year + some oldies for good measure. I wouldn't be too upset about not being recognized by the academy when you weren't even recognized by the academy when those categories were in place.

Sure, most people used it for a bathroom break, but still it might have turned on a few people to different genres. If the Grammys are still supposed to be about musicians celebrating other musicians, they need to embrace all of it instead of giving that battery-committing little scum extra air time. Did Esperanza Spalding win in vain?

The Grammys like to call themselves the biggest night in music but they're just the biggest night in pop music. Good on Bon Iver for saying the bit about all the artists who will never be up there. You know that was about indie artists and not Gaga.

No win is more hate worthy imo than Taylor winning for a song where she bitches and moans about a music critic who said she can't sing and calls him mean when on that very same album she has a song that goes, and I quote... "she's not a saint and she's not what you think she's an actress/she's better known for the things that she does on the mattress..." I dare say implying that another girl is a giant skank is a little more mean than a music critic justifiably saying you can't sing. Hypocrite. I hate that she was rewarded for that. She doesn't lack talent but that song drives me up a wall. So not Grammy worthy if not for content than for its shittiness in general. There are far better songs on Speak Now. If anything it should have been shut out for "Mean" and won for Best Country Album, or better yet been nominated for Best Pop Album because let's be honest.

She even forgot she wasn't supposed to say "WOW!" and pretend to be 'shocked' at the crowd's applause at the end of the performance. A little disingenuous at this point.
