She's just either isn't the brightest bulb in the box, is still very immature or is a massive hypocrite. Perhaps a combo of all 3, who knows. I'm betting on immaturity. She's a great songwriter and I really enjoy her music and as a girl of the same age feel I can relate to a lot of it. I just found it totally bizarre for her to write an entire song calling a music critic "Mean" for saying she's can't sing when what she does for a living is write songs, many of which trash other people. Now I can totally get down with writing about the guys who have done you wrong, especially if John Mayer is as bad as "Dear John" would imply. I just however find "Better than Revenge" to be a little too nasty, but still it would be fine if she didn't get all bitchy about someone who dared criticized her and called them "mean." The song is mean so if you want to be mean you better not bitch about other people being mean. I mean she's not all bad, she's totally willing to point out her own wrong doings. One of the other songs on the album is about how poorly she treated Taylor Lautner and her wishing she could take it all back.

Its from the 2010 writing sessions for her album and its about Travis McCoy, her ex-fiancée. So its not a breakup song about Russell. I guess most people assumed that but they breakup seems amicable so I assumed it was another song about Travis (she has other songs about him on Teenage Dream) and when I looked it up it turned out to be. I like Tony Bennett. Did you guys hear that he's saying they should legalize street drugs like in Amsterdam so people like Amy, Whitney and Michael wouldn't end up dead. He's also pretty classy, bringing Amy's parents on stage to accept her last Grammy with him.

She's never taken herself too seriously or pretended to be all high class, above it all or anything like that. It'd be the same as/worse than Taylor Swift if she went around complaining that her exes talked about her and then trashed them in a song. I doubt we'll hear her crying if Russell does interviews or jokes about their marriage or something. I guess even if its mostly amicable you going to have some feelings about it and if you're a singer/songwriter that's how you're going to express your feelings. Just don't fucking whine when other people express their feelings about you. Freedom of speech goes both ways.

Now the backlash has cometh against Lady Gaga and Nikki Minaj. It all comes full cycle. Adele is super talented and seemingly grounded artist, but she is still the anti Lady Gaga and Nikki Minaj. The only difference is, Norah Jones sounded like a bad singer at the the local lounge at a Holiday Inn and Adele has real talent. I just think Adele needs to make a change in her hair and makeup people, they are making her look like a drag queen.
