Strained it or tore it? Your post isn't very clear.

Marsala sauce is the best, however parmesan is very good too.

I prefer PICCATA...
hey spanky, if you are smart enough to know the name of the muscle you tore, then you should be smart enough to RICE IT! I'd probably go see a good sports doctor and not run until the pain ceases...but that's me. I've had friends run with injuries until they got compartment syndrome and almost ended their running (and walking) careers. |

My husband did this a few months ago. The idiot managed to do it by tripping over his own two feet on the treadmill... at the doctor's office during a
stress test.
He was on crutches for three weeks, then used a cane for awhile. I shouldn't laugh... he was in a lot of pain. But I still find it funny. |

Shit, it happened last week - right before my 4 days of for Thanksgiving hols- of course I RICED it! It am hobbling along and getting progressively better, but
declined my docs orthopede referral because I know there is NOTHING THEY CAN DO, short of telling me to slowly stretch it once it becomes bearable, then
calf-strengthening exercises, and knowing not to to run on the bitch until it is fully healed - in my case probably around 6 weeks.
Just glad it wasn't my archilles tendon! Still, would like to hear from fellow sufferers. |

i think i would die if i tore anything. i'm also a big ol pussy when it comes to that kind of shit. i've come close to breaking my ankle many times. i
tend to roll them but i must have tough manly ankles since i've come so close to rolling them to the point of no return many times and nothing i run a lot.
now stumping your foot on something while running at a pretty fast pace in front of tons of people is fuckin' embarrassing. cod i hate that shit! that i've done many times. i've only fallen once. |
