All I was doing is pointing out that every single one of his faves, are black! If a white person only rooted for whites because they are white, then we would be ridiculed and called a KKK member. I hate the double standard. I'm white and I'm not like "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ICE!" I actually like people with more depth than just sharing the same skin color. Why is it bad that a black person roots for primarily blacks? Most blacks can connect and identify with most blacks on these shows. Not all, but most. I don't think whites can identify with this as much as blacks can when watching other blacks. Plus, blacks are usually underepresented on these shows and are often displayed in negative stereotypes which is why we root for them. That is NOT racist.

I don't disagree about minorities in general being displayed in a negative light. I think that often stems from the fact that producers only allow for a certain quota of asians, blacks, etc. They of course are going to pick the ones with the stronger personality. That's often to me why the blacks are more likable because they pick from the cream of the crop. But still, MYAMME? PRANCER? They are the bottom of the barrell when it comes to personality. ETA: I find it a bit scary if anyone can "relate" to anyone on a VH1 show. I love the VH1 stars, but they aren't exactly crem de le creme.

The average person doesn't act as extreme or outrageous as the VH1 stars do. So your excuse of being able to relate to them, is dumb.
