Rob, Amber, Big Tom, Alicia, Rupert and Jenna chose to cut his gut coz he's both a physical and political threat. Kathy has rain cloud above her right now. She's the next logical boot. Shii Ann, on the other hand, could be a useful ally to Rob and Amber if they decide to let go of Rupert, Jenna or Alicia... They don't see her as a threat but as an extra vote they can swing. But she may be the 3rd member of the jury and the last original Mogo standing....

From tonight's episode it looks like Rob has Kathy and Shii Ann's vote. And Rob is pretty damn good at cultivating votes that aren't a lost cause like Lex.

Rob continues to exceed my expectations. Lex is still a lost vote, but if Rob keeps this up he just might win that million.

Giving up his video reward to let the others have their letters from home was brilliant on his part! They are bound to remember that when it's time to vote. But (doubting Thomas that I am) I'm kind of wondering if it's possible that it might work to his disadvantage rather than to his advantage? We heard the quote from Shii Ann tonight about whether this was a "thoughtful gesture or a deceptive plan", so she is already suspicious of Rob's gesture...is it possible that the other are wondering the same thing? Not saying that this is or isn't the case...just putting that thought out there!

That doesn't mean Lex will be successful, but even a cooling off period won't help Rob win Lex vote. It's been a few months now and that wasn't enough for Lex to cool off. Rob may not need Lex's vote anyway. But the idea that keeps popping up that Lex might still vote for Rob on "game play" is at best wishful thinking IMO. However, I think that Rob is on the right track. How Big Tom, Alicia and Rupert get booted are the dicey jury issues in the future.

I really think Lex has shown us in every way possible that there was no way to keep his vote. His expectations of others were utterly unrealistic and I think he was lying to Kathy as much as to everyone else. His strategy was me! me! me! The fascinating thing I found tonight was that Romber seem to actually be pulling off the Brian strategy where no one suspects a thing. I'd assumed they had to be doing it like Rob C,. where everyone knew what everyone else was supposed to know. What impressed me about him giving up the reward was not waiting for Probst to make an offer. He made Probst an offer he couldn't refuse.
