My take on these potential winners:
* Bob, I think would make the best winner. I like the old, wise, smart guy winning. But I'm all about strategy in this game, and he has not been at all central to it. Still, he's had some strategy, been awesome in challenges, and mostly acted reasonably.
* Sugar, is my second choice. I just love her. It kind of baffles me because she isn't even playing to win and how irritating is that? But when she wants something done she can get it done and she is not afraid to make a bold move, and I love that.
* Kenny, I thought would win for a while and be a good winner, but the last few weeks he has overstrategized and gone on a surprisingly hight altitude ego trip. I think he is only still there because there were more irritating fish to fry. (Sorry, ThailandSurvivor, I hope I'll get to hear your arguments for why he's still a great winner). He is the only finalist who has been central to the direction of the game, which keeps him from my last category.
* Susie and Matty tie for my please-don't-let-them win ranking. Either would be a sucky end to what turned into a good season. I like them both but Susie is so under the radar (or under-edited) I have no idea what she's doing, and Matty is on the freaking preachy high horse (I hate that horse, except when I'm under Sugar's spell, of course), plus has had no real strategic contribution I can think of--it even seemed like he had to be dragged along to save himself last night.
So why, I ask myself, I am so looking forward to the finale. I think because I really do like all the finalists. They all seem like basically nice people and are all interesting people. And I'm expecting to be surprised. Also I still love the location. Oh, and I despise the Onions (especially Corrine and Marcus) but get some kind of weird gratification in watching them go to new lows of self-righteous idiocy, which I'm expecting there will be plenty of Sunday night.
Who else is in this club? For the same or different reasons?
