Newbie, they were fun, too! We must have spent ages on that Verizon v/o guy and Beth, his constant dinner companion. We watched their relationship blossom for at least three weeks.

I agree with you that a real, full-blown hoax spoiler can give hours of amusement and snark. Uncle's was probably the best.

But I don't really see this bunch of fakes as being particularly imaginative or inspiring, and I assume that at least one comes from head office. We've had two unhappy production members and a kid in Oz who wandered artlessly into his boss's office and read all the papers on his desk. And guess what? There was a bootlist all ready to hand. Isn't that incredible? And what I can't work out is why any tv station or network affiliate or whatever needs to know ahead of time who gets the boot, let alone every boot and in which order. It makes no difference at all to the show. The Booted does the same round of interviews and the local people can get to him/her really quickly because s/he lives in town. (And none of 'em live in Australia.) A really good hoaxer would have come up with a better excuse.

Anyway, in the absence of a proven disaffected production person who is willing to put his property on the line in a lawsuit for breach of a signed confidentiality clause, I think the only real spoilers we are going to get are the ones we used to have in all the other series: Vidcaps; Bootees giving away too much info in interviews; people who know people who know players. It's not very glamorous, but it's more reliable than all these bloody bootlists.
