Shouldn't the winner be disqualified from the $100,000 ? (okay, maybe that's just my rule because the fav never ends up winning)
Matty seemed shocked that he was in 3rd place. And I thought it was kinda sad when Randy was cheered and looked like he had no clue what was going on. I feel sorry for him too, but actually thought it was cool that he invited strangers to the finale. I think he does have a heart but tries not to show it and that's what people see. |

This sucks.
Bob? Fan favorite? Why? His scintillating personality? His key strategy (ie Sugar saved his ass?) Fuck. |

yeah even Bob seemed to think it wasn't quite fitting that he got the 100k as well as the million
too funny when he said that he had text messages asking if the test was still on tomorrow. At least they got a bit of a clue about one of the test questions in advance LOL |

Jedijake wrote: Wow that stuns me considering his previous behaviour. <sarcasm> I'm pleased I got Susie getting final immunity and I was so close to her winning the whole thing but the edit they gave her would've been an insult if she had won. Congrats Bob! Dunno how you winning meshes with VG's clues, I could only align you with two of them I think, but well done! :-) |

Yah for Bob! | ||

Congratulations to Bob for making this whole season worthwhile! I was in #$%&^ when he won, I really was! I couldn't believe it! That I was so
involved, invested in this season! Or rather I was so involved in the Kotas and one of them winning.
After sweet Charley got voted off after Marcus, I actually stopped watching the show, til I was tipped that I should tune back in this week and was DEEE-lighted when Crystal got her come-uppance. I loved Corrine. Hated Sugar. HATED SUGAR, and they all did, too. Is she the Britney Spears of Survivor? If they have another ASS or Half ASS, you can bet they bring both Corrine and Sugar AND RANDY back!!! Loved, loved, loved Marcus and his bromance with Charley was beautifully depicted. They didn't HAVE to include that, but that made Marcus more three dimensional...I love that the Kota's were so open and so smart, too smart, maybe for those "Einsteins in the front row"! Ended up adoring Randy. I know if I ever met any of the Kotas, including Bob, I'd be friends with them. Marcus! Charley! Corrine! Randy! Bob! In the end the good guy(s) did prevail. And that Bob was the oldest contestant ever to win was soooo moving to me. I hope that leads their casting people to have more older contestants on! And Bob kept winning more challenges than anyone else, since who? Since COLBY??? Sugar was using this to not win, or certainly to get jury votes, but to get as much screentime as possible. Her decision making process was MADE to absorb the plot attention and she's the worst possible MACTOR example of a camera hog in Survivor history. And VG's "The S files" absolutely meant the Sugar files. "The Truth is Out There" was probably some random comment made by Probst(the pictured eye) about Bob early on or before the show.... Sugar has terrible karma from this show...The attention she'll get is not the kind that brings good vibes... I'm a Corrine lover. Sorry. LOVE her "take no prisoners" attitude and that VOICE! But JP created that last switch just cuz he didn't want to see the Kotas proceed to the end...But in the end, they won, or BOB won anyway... Shows you can be successful at any age! And Marcus, Charley I hope you procede to the Amazing Race! And win there!!! Orangeena loves you! |

I was certain that Bob's top of the mountain shot, à la Earl, was more of a life moment. I didn't think for one moment that the editors would go back
to the same bag of tricks and actually be that obvious.
And winning the game should disqualify you from winning fan favourite. I love Bob, but someone else should have a chance at that money. |

Sugar's father.... | ||
|
I guess it's fair to make the analogy...Sugar's father..won...
This season is like a whacked version of "Hamlet" with Sugar as "Ham-lette." Honestly I just couldn't reconcile their making us love Kota so much at the beginning and hate Fang and then switch. It's because, in the end, Kota, methodical, organized, nice - won. We were NEVER meant to like the Fongs....so I didn't...I got so sick of them...They were really distasteful... But good pervailed in the end...So all is well. It just was an unusual season....to say the very least... And why was there so little of Bob in the first part? I think they all kept saying "He was taking a nap." But you always knew Bob was there...but they DID surprise us with this ending...And we all like surprises, right? That's why we watch this show. Slopping editing? How do you edit a winner that's napping all the time for the first half of the season? Answer; You don't. You edit the people who are awake...And Sugar was their Lex, their Kathy, the F3 finalist who was more interesting (to them anyway) than the ones who actually won...The traditions continue...Bob had a great opening monologue, too... And everybody's thinking "The old guy never wins"....How physically fit must he be to have won this? I want him to write a book on his physical regimen. We should all be so healthy... JP & EPMB are happy tonight because Rudy finally won! |

birdlady wrote: Well, it depends if you mean for entertainment value or for game value. The jury is under absolutely NO obligation to make an objective or serious decision. They can all choose "pick a number" questions or already have their mind made up. Susie was the least objectionable choice for 3 of the jurors, and for a self-admitted coattail rider that almost got her into the winner's circle. All around, it was a pretty weak season comparatively for game play, especially compared to last season's power final 4. Sugar basically handed Bob the million dollars. I think Tina had Colby wrapped around her finger, but I don't think that Bob had that kind of influence on Sugar. Matty's a nice guy but there is no excuse for not practicing firemaking. Bob wasn't a good strategist. He was the first winner who made it into the winner's circle primarily on his outplaying in the challenges, so it is possible to have a player win primarily on that strength alone. Stop calling Sugar an irrational player. She got to the F3, deal with it. Her social game was lacking yes, but strategically, she outplayed everyone there.I"ll call her an irrational player. She constantly commits the cardinal sin of the game. She makes her tactical choices based on how she feels in the moment. She makes emotion-based decisions, not strategic-based decisions. She made it to the final 3, with absolutely no chance of winning. That's a HUGE flaw in strategy. She could have used her strategic abilities for good and taken Crystal and Susie into the finals, thus giving her a chance to win. So we got a likeable winner that will make the viewers happy, but we got a largely crappy game. Oh well, I still enjoyed watching it. Back to Brazil!!! |

Orangeena wrote:Orangeena, I completely agree with you. I would have much rather had that middle row reunion as the final six. ACE/DAN/MARCUS/CHARLIE/RANDY/CORRINE would have been more interesting to watch. But they mostly weren't good at strategy either. I wish they'd go back to the original way of doing opening credits, but they won't. Sigh... I am surprised that Probst didn't mention the Charcus bromance on the reunion show, but there wasn't enough time with the shortened reunion show.
