Now I watch the foreign editions so I don't hate the original concept but what on earth is this show? First of all they get rid of Will first? Huge mistake since he was the only person adding anything to the show. I also hate that the producers made him fess up to the group that he was making a fake task. The intro music is extremely cheesy (worst theme song ever) and all these people are extremely boring. Jamie? Curtis? Josh? Seriously? Jamie was going to roll a fucking dice to nominate? That is lamer then Sean's alphabet strategy or Darren ("I think they want to see how their business is doing") from the first season of Big Brother UK. I'm watching this trainwreck to see why it sucked so bad and because I think I want to appreciate the US season for what it is now. Then season 2 came out and you got to spy on them actually doing something interesting and I never looked back (actually I did, I've watched some BB 1 clips on youtube and I can't believe I ever found it entertaining.) I agree, BB USA is seasons 2-10.

I think it would be cool if the US and UK casts switched countries for a season though.

After watching a few of the episodes, I decided it wasn't worth the time to get the rest. I remember that Brittany had said that her and one of the guys from BB1 were "heavily courted" by CBS to participate in All-Stars, but both refused. If I remember correctly, I think she said that CBS flew them out to L.A. and everything trying to get them to agree to appear. I remember thinking it seemed weird that CBS would be heavily courting anybody from BB1 to appear. Does that mean Chicken George was the 3rd choice? I wonder if CBS just couldn't get any of the BB1 people to agree to that "Ghosts of BB Past" competition they did, or if they just didn't even bother.

I personally have always thought they didn't want to bother with anyone from BB1 for Allstars, but they just threw Chicken George in there for the sake of having someone from each season represented. Plus, were there any better choices for a token old guy? I've seen some youtube clips of that season from this site. Very sad show... I at times couldn't even make it through watching a clip, so I do not intend at all to watch any episodes from that season. What was there, like over 90 episodes or something?

I have an episode on tape that I throw in every once in a while...the entirety of this particular episode is focused on the fact that they forgot to put enough toilet paper on the shopping list and literally ran out. Talk about riveting television. I do remember liking Brittany...and finding Jamie the most annoying bitch on tv. Sometimes I think the original format could have worked had they had a MUCH better cast for the first season....but then again, I think Americans might have too much of a workaholic/competitive attitude to handle just sitting around in a house with no other goal than to engage in conversation.

I usually defend "mactors" on Survivor because I like a lot of them, but I see that they usually have a want to win. I don't see that in UK house mates.

I can hardly make it past the awful awful theme tuneto the actual coma inducing show. I suppose I'll watch it all eventually, because it's the only season I haven't seen in full yet.
