Had she not noticed Kim J's signs, her Boran alliance would be partially screwed if they voted for Brandon instead and she had witty confessionals. Lex was hated in all stars and nobody really outright bitched about him in Africa, where Kelly was the only one who noticed his arrogant attitude and bitched about him so I loved her more upon rewatch.

You also forget that Kelly was from the 3rd season, where alliance flipping wasn't accepted and nobody dared to shake up the game to better their position (Rodger/Liz, Pagongs) while Michelle was from Season 14, where she had at least 12 seasons worth of knowledge she could put to use in her strategy.
