Plus, Teresa led to Lex proving just how much of a douchebag he really is. Kim just bitched and moaned and ruined any chance of a Samburu comeback. And she got molested by Big Tom too. Don't get me wrong, I love Teresa. She had spunk when she was shown, but seriously, she was one of the least visible contestants from early seasons. Kim had MUCH more airtime, so how anyone can bitch about Kim being UTR and not Teresa is just delusional. And I don't really hold it against Kim that she fucked Samburu because the game was still new and fresh ... gamers were few and far between, it was more about personalities. And just how did she bitch and moan??? She was a sweetheart. Upon re-watching Africa, she was a damn good sweetheart. She had nothing on Colleen/Elisabeth there, but in any recent season she'd fill the spot and stand-out since they're so rare nowadays. Also, this is all retrospect bashing of her ... at the time, she was the second most popular castaway behind Ethan by the end of the season ... more so than Teresa. The difference is that Teresa is amazing. Kim P. was only under the radar because the producers knew everyone would despise her if they showed her interacting more with the rest of the mall rats. Kim wasn't under the radar. She had several standout episodes. She was only UTR 4 times, and only one of those was visibility one. She had seveal CPP episodes as well. Why would the producers have any reason to make the public love her?? And FYI, she wasn't like the other mall rats ... Carl specifically said she was different and he wished he had gotten to know her better. There are several shots of her while Lindsey/Silas are yelling at Frank/Linda sitting looking depressed by the situation. She said post-show in her ew.com interview that when the drama started she walked away because she didn't want to be a part of it. She also said in that interview that there really was never a problem between her and the elders, and that she and T-bird were very happy to see one another after the merge.

I understand that Elisabeth was a definite sweetheart the way she was given such a positive edit, but Colleen was a non-factor to me. The only reason she registers as anything significant is because so many people love her here, but before I came here, I never really recognized her as a major character at all. She really wasn't that sweet, the way she complained a lot after she lost the numbers with her lack of strategy and complained about Richard Hatch who was providing for the entire tribe. Then she was bitter and thought she was a better person as a juror

It was 1 of the most invisible, so we had no opinion on a lot of them either way

She may have not had as much air time, but she did play a big part in the season and did have alot of moments. Oh that's totally fine if you like her better, but bar none Kim P. was a bigger star of the season to the average viewer. The viewers loved both of them, but Kim was more visible and while she took a dip early in the season due to her mall rat connection, she skyrocketed in the CBS popularity polls by the end of the season. T-Bird had quite a few moments, but most of them were in the last few episodes. Anyway, my only argument was people saying that Kim should be out for being UTR/a non-entity when T-Bird from the same season had about half the airtime as she did.

You're talking to someone whose original sweetheart happened to be Erin Collins. I still think she was really likable, but I know she didn't have that much air time (although compared to a "sweetheart" nowadays, she's Earl). I don't call anyone from the first 9 seasons invisible especially when comparing them to today's editing. Well, today's being before Gabon since it was a huge improvement.
