What is Puzzle Boss?

I guess I didn't explain it well.
Any boss you can't just attack and kill. You might need to do something like have them run into four pillars and cause the building to cave in. Or have them hit a wall and stun themselves. Stuff like that. |

Oh yeah I mentioned that a few posts up. I knew about it but sadly completely forgot around the third one you're supposed to ignore.
Apparently you can still get it... but there's only a 10% chance the chest with it appears and... a 1% chance it's actually in there. |

Or if there's a Future Sight attack waiting. Or if your opponent switches because you improperly play FEAR. And considering the use of Bullet Punch Scizor, Mach Punch, Ice Shard Mamoswine, Toxic, T-Tar, Hippodown, Abomasnow, etc., there's a pretty good chance of FEAR failing. |

FEAR Rattataownage!
Anyways... Bag O' Spillage / No God Mode for you!! I ended up adding this one randomly when it came to me while working. You know how a sequel 9 times out of 10 takes place RIGHT after the first game yet you seem to lose all your cool abilities of the first game? From a design point of view it would make the game way too easy if you started at the same level as the last game but from a world that makes fuckin' sense point of view it just is stupid. The 1 time out of 10, they actually explain the reason (like in God of War 2, you actually drain your powers to use a sword and actually start the game with your cool powers. In Kingdom Hearts 2, because of Chain of Memories you lost your abilities... or something) but it still sucks that it happens. I do think there's some games that let you use your old level and play the game on hard but I can't recall any and I'd put that at .0000000009% of the time. That One Boss Who Never.Fucking.Dies. You know how most of the time once you kill a boss they're dead forever? Well this boss decides "Nah, you didn't beat me" or "I'LL GET YOU NEXT TIME INSPECTOR GADGET MY PRETTY AND YOUR LITTLE DOG TOO" and simply leaves only to return over and over and over. My example? Seymour from Final Fantasy X. This motherfucker just WOULDN'T FUCKING DIE.
FUCK YOU, I'M A BLACK MAGE. It didn't help that the second or third time (I believe it was the second) it had a long cutscene that starts off with Rikku freakin' out (and I promptly groaned) that since he kicked my ass 4 times I had to sit through 4 times. I like my bosses either dead, the end boss, or on my side. Seymour just wouldn't fucking die. I never beat FFX but apparently I have ONE MORE Seymour fight to deal with and I just groan over the idea too. Es-Fuckin-cort.Fuckin.Mission. IF YOU'VE EVER HAD TO LEAD A STUPID MORON THROUGH A MONSTER INFESTED AREA AND WANTED TO KILL THEM YOURSELF CAN I GET AN AMEN? IF YOU'VE EVER HAD TO LEAD A STUPID MORON THAT RAN INTO THE VILLIANS CAN I GET AN AMEN? IF YOU'VE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH A STUPID MORON WITH A GUN THAT MANAGES TO HIT YOU MORE THAN THE FUCKING VILLIANS CAN I GET AN AMEN? IF YOU HATE THE ESCORT MISSION YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Whoever decided the escort mission deserved to be in games should DIE. By far one of the most fucking annoying things to deal with EVER. Ico was one of my first games for the PS2 and... the ENTIRE GAME IS AN ESCORT MISSION. I gave up after about two reloads. Most of the time the idiot is... an idiot, takes damage like a whore turns a trick' and I actually read about one game where the AI was so dumb that it ran to you AFTER A RELOAD even though it wasn't supposed to know you were there yet. The only escort mission I ever enjoyed was Kingdom Hearts 2 with Queen Minnie who had an ability to kill most of the Heartless near her with no MP cost so I spammed the fuck out of and killed everybody to get the XP. Winner... or loser? The Computer is a Cheating C.unt If there's a spell that only works 1/10th of the time, the computer will cast it once and it'll work. If you're racing against the computer, it will get constant speed boasts. If you're fighting the computer, they will have moves that a human player could never do and can never access. If you're doing a war game, they have unlimited resources. The computer will always get the critical attack to beat you. Why this sucks: Because it clearly does and smacks of "I'm too lazy to create good AI, let's just let it cheat!! <3333" |

Lolol ikr? For the boss that just never goes away >_> but...that happens in virtually *every* game. Especially Final Fantasy. Seifer, Beatrix (like 3
times in one disk >_>), Seymour - the list goes on.
Some escort missions are fun! Like when you escort Aeris somewhere in disk 1, I forget what it is =O alol. Timed missions is gonna be numero uno on this list, right? =p Lulz @ you quitting FF7 after 2 minutes with a timed mission. |

That was a good update, Will. I can think of tons of examples for those ones.
As far as escorting goes, Sherry from Resident Evil 2 is a horrid little bitch. I never even got that far when I played Resident Evil 2, but I watched as my older brother played and I always wanted her to die. Seymour is a good example of the boss that won't die. I swear to God I fought him in Mt. Gagazet like 10 times before finally beating him. Ultros is the only repeating boss that I loooooooove. <3 And Pokemon is a good example of the computer being a cheating cuntt. Fissure hits me every time. |

I loved how anticlimatic the last seamour battle was.. After the third encounter which was a pain in the ass you go the he fourth and it's pretty easy...
And I love if you have Anime as a summon at that point and Semour says "you too??? :O"..

That reminds me of FF8 when you go to fight Ifrit. If you use Shiva on him he screams "THEY HAVE SHIVA!??!?!" But I randomly named her Mint(After
Threads of Fate)Pizza so he screamed "THEY HAVE MINT PIZZA?!?!?"

Oh, I thought you said you played FF7 for about 5 minutes and then once there was that very early timed mission at the start, you stopped. |
