Matty couldn't have flipped at ten, he didn't even go to that tribal council. And even IF all of the stars would have aligned and led to five vs. five (which is a huge if) Sugar and the rest of Fang would still have to know who the Onions were voting for in order to successfully turn the tide in their favor. It's clearly a better situation for the Onions than what happened.Yeah, but were we shown Matty selling out Fang at all? No, we saw him strategizing with Sugar to stay in the game as well as the Onions targeting Matty ... which he knew. No, it is not a huge if ... its already been proven, had there been a merge, it would have been 5 v 5. But you're right, they would have to know who the onions were voting for. But 5 votes + an idol vs. 5 votes and no idol ... advantage goes to Fang. The entire sequence of events is fishy. The first tribe switch was a pick 'em whose rules were so incredibly specific that it neutralized an otherwise certain Onion majority (or at least even numbers) on both tribes. The second tribe shuffle was a rock draw, allegedly luck based but the ONLY shot that Fang could EVER have a majority on either tribe. Then the immunity challenge, which was CLEARLY intended for individuals and not tribes, prevented a strategic challenge throw which would, again, neutralize Fang. It didn't just happen that way. The onions dominated the first part of the game, but they created a situation for themselves where they had 5 votes maximum ... Ace/Sugar had defected to Fang, Corinne/Charlie/Marcus alienated Dan and Susie. All they could count on after Jacquie left (due to them not throwing the challenge) was Randy and Bob. |

I don't see how anyone on the jury was "bitter" by not voting for Sugar. Her final tribal council performance was one of the most cringe-worthy I've ever seen. There's no way I would have voted for her, even if she played the best game ever. Oh, and hey Charlie! You're adorable. |

It's just that... all the little things added up to the Onions being a bitter voting bloc. Corinne said she'd never vote for Sugar and that the Onions
got to choose who would win. And in the little pre-FTC blurb in the finale, Randy and Ken both mentioned that Sugar made good strategic moves, so Randy noticed
at least. Sorry, no disrespect intended, but it's just the way it came off in both the edit and in some of the post-show stuff. (Crystal named Sugar as
being the true mastermind in Gabon)

Sugar was no mastermind. She was allowed to reach the F3 because everyone in the F6 knew that Sugar's needless backstabbing and poor social game would get
her ZERO votes in the end and they all wanted her beside them in the FTC.

Onion was not bitter for not giving their $1 million votes to Sugar. She should've known better trying to go to the end with Bob. That was just stupid
and obvious

Not voting for Sugar or not voting for Steph (Guatemala) had nothing to do with bitterness. It was common sense. They both played the same destructive,
emotional game and didn't even have one argument left once they were facing the jury.

Lighter questions | ||
|
Hi Charlie!
May I ask you some lighter questions?: 1) What's your middle name/s? If you have one. 2) How was Paris like with Marcus? Seems like quite an EXPENSIVE place to visit in this financial crisis. 3) You went to Aras's survivor party: Did you meet Brady and is he still the Porterhouse beefcake he was at Vanuatu? :D 4) Any funny Onion antics you haven't told us about yet? So far through interviews I've read about: A) tap-dancing with Corinne, B) Bob's outdoor furniture show, C) Marcus and Corinne surprising you with a pride parade, D) talent contests, E) ??? Anything else. Sounds like there was ALOT of spare time. Hope to hear answers. With regards to all the negativty in this thread, it is sad that people are asking questions that they feel they know the answer to... Only to lambast you if you A) tell them what they want to hear or B) don't tell them what they want to hear. You're damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't While I was saddened by your Ponderosa actions, you seem honestly regretful as evidenced by your "life lesson" comment, and I commend you for that. I regret being unfriendly to her for her first day at Ponderosa--but one thing I learned from Survivor is that simply saying sorry does not make our past mistakes go away. So, I take it as a life lesson and try to be a better a person.Unfortunately, while people here resented you for your actions, there are alot who just will never forgive you even after an apology and explanation is provided. Its frustrating that people keep asking the same questions too - when the answers have already been discussed. I.e. "why did you treat Crystal like that" etc. I hope you are not discouraged by this. I liked watching you on the show and would hope you stick around to answer questions from people who genuinely have an interest in your Survivor experience. Cheers!! |

You can't even compare Steph and Sugar. Steph played a decent game, but it was unfortunate people looked at her as undeserving just because she'd
played the game before

The problem is that no one realized they needed to slaughter the goat before it became dangerous. If someone becomes aware that they can't win- they tend
to start voting emotionally.

Charlie explainsed it perfectly.
Onions may have been bitter (who wouldn't be after the way they got screwed) - but they didn't vote bitter. They got to vote for the best player in F6 (in terms of challenges, survival, social game, and comeback against the odds). Sugar wasn't playing to win, she was fucking around with others for her own agenda. And it's not hard to do that when you've established yourself as a goat that all of Fang wants in F3. Hey, remember when nobody of either tribe wanted to pick her, like Lisi in S14? |

Axolotl wrote:No, Stepheme did the same "deserving/bad person" song and dance as Sugar did. Stepheme had a great hold over her alliance, never needed to backstab them and could have dragged Judd's fat ass to the finals and slaughtered him. I will give Steph credit in that, unlike Sugar, she was playing to win but had absolutely no concept of how to be able to do it. |
