I know Frosti was 20. I wouldn't say he took the game by storm but he did respectably. Obviously we all have first impressions but then hopefully we'll all revise those later on. I just know that I was a complete mess at that age, I had some idea of it then, and if I'd gone on a show like Survivor I would have been all over the place and left a lasting public memory that just a few years later would have made me want to wear a paper bag out in public. The 'cool' guys I knew were by in large more self confident, better styled and more socially adept, and that was a huge asset in their development. People who say those kids are going to be pumping gas someday are lying to make themselves feel better. There's nothing virtuous about being frightened and awkward. That doesn't mean those 'cool' guys would have represented themselves well on Survivor, though. In most cases anyone who was old enough not to be intimidated by them wouldn't have respected them or taken them seriously. It takes different skills to make alliances with stable professionals and family people than it does to impress and intimidate insecure teenagers. At least the insecure kids have a shot of finding surrogate mother and father figures on the show, and that's a valid strategy but it would be very difficult to win that way because of the coattails factor.

Bahhh. Random speculation. We won't have a clue really until we meet these people.
