US Airways should give this pilot a couple of million as a bonus for saving the lives of 155 people. Unless he was responsible for it going down in the first place, and then they can just call it even. What if it had crashed into the Statue of Liberty?! |

Do you think those pilots know how to actually work those emergency exits? Did they point to the exits with two fingers and tell everyone where to find their flotation devices? I think not!

The pilot is solely responsible for landing this plane safely. Usually the emergency exits have passengers seated next to them and they open the doors up. Nope, the pilot alone saved all these lives 
1. Did you even look at the pictures? The only people seated next to the open emergency exits in the FRONT of the plane were the flight attendants. 2. Where did I assert that a flight attendant actually landed the aircraft? 3. It is actually the flight attendants' responsibility to evacuate the aircraft, with a little help from the pilots if they are not busy doing something else. The landing wouldn't have saved a single person if the FAs didn't get the pax off without it degenerating into a riot/stampede. |
