Probst must be sad that they took away his favourite part of the show though

just LOOK at the tribe, the 3 fat/weak chicks Taj/Sandy/Carolina are all on Jalapao along with a geek and a guy who just went thru puberty a few years ago and on Timbira you have a soccer coach, a former navy guy, a professional cyclist, and 3 modelwhores seething hatred |

Don't underestimate Taj. She looka like a man, so I bet she kicks arse in strength based challenges.

They usually don't have them at the start anyways, but I am sick of them. As long as there isn't one at a tribal swap, I'll be happy. They really
need to think of a more creative way to do that. Or even better, not have one for a change.

It really doesn't make a difference to me concerning "Pick 'ums", but give it a different fucking name! The term "School yard pick
'um" is the most anti intellectual, blatant attempt at cheap pathos the show has came up with.

I think Jalapao might be able to compete. That guy who just finished puberty also is an athlete, and he's also only a year younger than Frosti was in
China, so he will actually be a challenge threat. Taj also looks like she could kick ass in challenges. The reason that Sherea couldn't win everything for
Zhan Hu was that James and Aaron owned them, she consistently kicked amanda and denise's ass.

The only times that I can remember tribes being lopsided was when there was when the contestants chose the tribes (Gabon, Fiji and Palau were all tribe pick
ems). When the producers pick the tribes they're usually pretty balanced.

Zhan Hu and Maraamu agree 100% with that statement.
To be fair, Maraamu was a much stronger tribe on paper, Boston Rob and Sarah just sucked far more than expected and Neleh and Paschal weren't completely useless. |

The problem with the pickems is that nobody really knows what other people's skills are, and they won't necessarily pick for challenge strength, like
how Crystal picked Susie because they are both moms. The producers try to balance the tribes in terms of challenge strength, so they usually turn out fairly
good (Marquesas and China are the only ones where they were really bad, but otherwise the original tribes were fairly balanced in pretty much every season,
even the gender based seasons).

The producers pick the clothes, anyway. I remember the Cook Islands contestants were similarly matchy-matchy with their original tribes.

I would argue that Maraamu was just as strong as Rotu, but they voted out their biggest guy Peter first, and decided that Sarah and Fatricia were much better
to help win. It wasn't strength of the original tribe, just the stupidity (or, I guess power-hunger) of the Robfather and Sean.
And original Fang was stronger than post-swap Fang. The original tribe won two challenges, whereas after the switch they won NOTHING. |

That's why I was so pissed off during the 4th episodes "Last time on Survivor" segment where it said they kept sucking after winning the last two challenges. They had five guys and Crystal on their tribe, if that doesn't result in a few challenge wins, we'd have a problem. |

Maraamu lost because they were fucking retarded and voted out a strong player over one of the two weakest players on their tribe. In all honestly, Rob,
Hunter, Peter and Sean should've been easily able to outmatch a tribe with Paschal and John on it.
Zhan Hu was legitmately screwed though. |
