And most of those standard of living rankings give socialist ideas higher rankings, like socialized health care. Speaking from experience, socialized medicine
is just giving everyone the same bad care and waiting lists.

factoryhurl wrote: This is very interesting. When the media spouted about the world hating Bush, conservatives shouted that they didn't care what the rest of the world thought. Liberals cared. We were heartless assholes for not caring about the opinion of people who don't live here. I truly don't care what Canadians think about the President, even if they aren't in love with a President I do not like. It's pretty funny that all of a sudden the Liberals don't care though. Well, no American president has ever been this strong at foreign relations. So, I think Obama came in at just right moment when our country needed him most.
I find it silly how people pretend not to care what our allies think, as if there were no utility in strengthening our alliances in this time of global guerilla warfare and putting our enemies in as weak and compromised a position as possible. |

Who the fuck even knows who our allies are anymore?

Canada used to be. But you have added Venezuela and Cuba, so it's a wash.

Plus factory has already declared she's too smart for all of us and doesn't need to defend any of her remarks.

Most of the 9/11 hijackers came from Saudi Arabia, the same country in which now Obama is fellating the king. I guess he doesn't know.

Too bad Bush didn't know. We could have gone to war with the country that really sponsors terrorism.

We did, Afghanistan. Next.

We invaded Iraq, remember? A country that had nothing to do with 911. Afghanistan and Pakistan were on the back burner during the Bush era. |

There are people who would commit terrorists acts against the US in Saudi Arabia- and that's exactly the reason why we need to work at strengthening our alliances with the non-terrorist Muslim world in an effort to apprehend or seriously compromise/incapacitate the efforts of would-be terrorists. |
