According to the store's Sunday circular, Kellie's new CD will be 9.99 this week at Target.
No details in the ad, so it may be the CD-only version. Can't tell from the ad. (Target also has Boomie's "Exclusive CD/DVD + Bonus Songs" advertised this week for 13.99.) |

Excellent CD, well worth the 9.99 at Target for the CD sans DVD. All 10 tracks are radio friendly. It's about half crossover country
and about half twang, with a couple of nice ballads.
In a self-sacrificing attempt to prop up the flagging economy (who am I kidding, right?) ... I splurged an additonal $5 for the "Bonus DVD" which I understand contains a video track and some tour footage. |

. Her fiancee may be a wonderful guy, but he looks psycho in that picture. And Kellie is confessing doubts about the whole idea right upfront. I give them 6 months, assuming the engagement doesn't go bust before they even get to the alter.
. She was raised by her grandparentS, not her grandmother. Her grandfather was still alive when she was on Idol (I don't know if he still is). . This whole discussion group really is very close to being dead. Only 2 threads in the whole main file had ANY comments today. They just shouldn't have voted off Didi & Siobhan so quickly!

Kellie seems to have a brand new single out as well. It's called "Tough." I heard it playing on the radio in a store I was in today. It's decent...but not fantastic. Considering that I LOATHED KP and her big ol bag of Jessica Simpson-esque bullshit on AI5, I'm surprised that I've generally really enjoyed her singles (Especially "The Best Days of Your Life"- which still gets plays on my ipod).
This new one didn't really stand out to me, but it might grow with more listens. I couldn't find any info on an upcoming album, but I suppose it's on the horizon. Either way, I hope she does well with it. Post-idol, I've really warmed to her...I'm not a fan by any means, but I'd pick her over most of the recent winners. |
