There are so many reasons for not singing KILLER QUEEN (if you must sing a Queen song). Luke had neither the range, nor the power. Moreover there's a good portion of the song that is all about the band, and not the lead vocal (especially after the end of each chorus). Crap song choice and crap performance. |

I think he looks more like Hugh Jackman than Dawson, but he's a nice piece of eyecandy in a sea of eyesores. We NEED someone hot to look at during those
weeks when songs are horrifically butchered.

Luke has had a lot of bad luck on idol. He wasn't heard before last week, the judges don't like white falsetto singers (though they'll go nuts for
even the worst black ones, like Rickey and Corey on Idol Rewind), he gave a good performance on a night when most of the others were good as well, and the two
worst singers last night, Michael Johns and Jason Castro, are absolutely (Michael) and probably (Jason) safe after doing great last week. So he's gone
tonight unless the audience boots both Jasons simultaneously. It's a shame, because he has potential.

Glad he made it through, one more week to look at him. I think he's this year's Haley Scarnato. To make Top twelve, he better work all his physical assetts and hope Simon is really mean to provoke the anti Simon vote. |
