She unfortunately makes me appreciate Carly Rae. I did like Carly Rae in the beginning, but then second-half, I was annoyed with her over the top and forced vulnerability she brought to each song she sang. But at least she can pull off upbeat and ballad well. For a basketball player, Amberly is so boring to watch. |

Amberly isn't though.

She's actually one of the best of this "type" of singer that has been on any Idol franchise. And that's exactly what is bothering me about
Amberly at the moment...she has much more power and range than most of those folky type bitches, especially some of the terrible ones on the radio (Colby
whatsherface and Regina Spektor...eek!). I couldn't stand those thin voiced bitches like Lisa Mitchell or Brooke White. I grew to like Carly Rae, but her
voice is very thin too.

Carly Rae is a thin-voiced ho who sounded like a dying cat.
She shouldn't be compared to Amberly, who is a GODDESS <3 She just needs to pick better songs that suit her voice. The thinness of her voice actually suits her. She's not a power belter/diva like Screamesha and Messica you tone-deaf ho's are accustomed to. |

Oh seaguy you're breaking my heart. Colbie Caillat does not have a weak ass voice and isn't a terrible folky type bitch. *cries*
[I just saw what DC wrote and I don't know whether to grab popcorn or run away and hide before SHC gets here.]To be fair to DC I rarely like her belting bitches so we're even. She hates my "folky type bitches" for the most part and I hate her "ethnic belting hos." The only exceptions I can think of is her liking Theresa and me liking Melinda. |

I got Colbie's c.d. the other week (mostly because SHC recommended it so highly) and I LOVE it. Best c.d. I've bought in years. Bubbly is actually
the song I like the least on the c.d. Well worth the money for it.

YAY Miki!
It is easily one of the best CDs that's come out in the last few years. "Bubbly" became super annoying because of how fucking overplayed it got which I think is a shame because it probably prevented a lot of people from checking Colbie out. She and Jason Reeves are excellent songwriters and put together a seriously quality album. Not one track on it is the filler you find on most albums although with the few singles. Her voice really isn't weak and it's so soothing to listen to. I had the CD on repeat for weeks on end, I bought it and I was hooked. seaguy (and others who may or may not hate Bubbly) I definitely recommend you check out some of the other tracks on the album on YouTube. "Carpi" is especially excellent, and beautiful, but they're all great. Ten thumbs up for Colbie's CD Coco. |

Thanks SHC for the recommendation because it was honestly worth it. People hype up albums all the time and you're like meh ok whatever but this one
deserves WAY more praise it gets out there. I think she is underrated.
I hope u check out her c.d. anyways Seaguy maybe u'll like it. This c.d. is my escape from life, it just puts me in a good mood and relaxed. Amazing
gift this girl has. Not suprised she made it on her own.

I listened to it after your post Miki and I'm listening to it again now.
It is totally feel good music, I love listening to it. My favourites are all the songs but my favourite favourites are "Capri," "Feelings Show," "Battle" and "Tailor Made." Like I said though, they all own. It's a seriously great album and it's definitely no wonder how she made it on her own even though her daddy is music biz guy. I totally agree about Amberly. She could totally do the kind of feel good singer/songwriter folksy/pop thing Colbie does. Amberly's voice is just like Colbie's in that I could listen to it all day, it's just simple and beautiful and soothing to listen to. Listening to Amberly sing "Everything I Own" was just like listening to a track off of Colbie's CD. It just makes you excited and happy and it's so good. Honestly I could rave about Colbie forever. |

Ok because of you two bitches I listened to her 30 second clips on itunes. I'm not big on this kind of music, but the songs seem a damn lot better than
that fucking "Bubbly" song. I want to gouge out my eardrums when I hear it!

If I could get past the awful lyrics in Bubbly I would consider the CD. I like the song she has out now, Realize (I think). While we're on the subject of CD's. KT Tunstall's first CD is amazing (no filler tracks either). Anna Nalick's is really good too. |

Did you guys know she auditioned for American Idol with "Bubbly" and they rejected her?
In any case you bitches better listen to the full songs on YouTube. As Miki said "Bubbly" is easily the worst track on the album. It's only the first single and the one most people know because that's the one that blew up on Myspace and got like a bazillion plays and helped get her a record deal. |
