Did anyone do any captures of Brooke's nauseated/terrified/bored faces when Randy and Paula were talking?

I eagerly await Randy telling Pat she did nothing with the song and Paula telling her to get a band. (Did you know Pat was on one of the soaps a few weeks ago)

Yeah, we couldn't believe what Randy was saying either. I was worried when they announced she was doing LIAB, but the way she performed it was perfect for
her. She really knows what her musical style is and what songs she should perform.

Loved her - Randy obviously dipped into Pauler's stash of bovine pharmaceuticals.

Once again she was the best of the night. Why the hell does she not get the pimp spot? Why does it go to performers like Syesha and Asai'h? She doesn't
need it anyway. She stands out on her own.

Her face is too big for her tiny head. It's weird.

I must say - I think Brooke is a very nice looking 41-year old. I hope I look that good when I'm as old as she is.
(I'm trying to think which other contestants could be her kid.) |

Maybe Brooke was trying to fake emotion but I don't see why she has to be emotional and bawl her eyes out. How long do they end up knowing each other? A
couple weeks?
So Brooke by just having to fake sadness would ironically be more real because she acts like a mature woman would IMO. That is trying to fit in and be nice and acting sad but not falling into histrionics or anything. |

What a copy-cat liar. I understand that most, if not ALL, of the arrangements for songs that are played for the idol show are out there and have been
performed by somone already. The band doesn't ingratiate any contestant's whims to develop their own arrangements - there just isn't enough time.
They have to rehearse with 24 contestants (or less, week by week) and get a whole show together in less than a week. The contestants HAVE to pick existing
arrangements, even if the general public is not familiar with it. Archuleta's Imagine was an arrangement originally done by Eva Cassidey, then by other
artists as well.
However the DIFFERENCE is that they (the other contestants) don't pretend that they came up with the arrangements on their own. She presented that as her own arrangement to bring something "new and different" to Pat Benatar's version. BARF. What a fake she is. By the way - a million women/girls can sit up there, sing in an average way, and strum rhythm guitar, and she's not even a very good guitar player either. Nothing special. |

She said she couldn't do justice to Pat's original version. She may have blurred the lines, but she didn't try to claim she invented the
arrangement she was doing.
A million girls could do anything most of the girls this season have done. Or in any season. Most of the best singers are turned away long before the semifinals. Idol has never been about who is the best. I'll still take someone who focuses on keeping a song basic and pure than someone who screeches like they're being jabbed with a sharp knife. |

She really knows what her musical style is and what songs she should perform.Yes that's where she is a jump ahead of Ramiella and Kady. A great performance from Brooke tonight. Surprised the hell out of ME |

Well, I've had the pleasure of seeing Pat Benatar several times in concert...where she does this song EXACTLY the way Brooke did tonight. Acoustic with her husband playing the guitar.Wow Sea Ioved the way you posted that clip. I'm not that computer savvy..I think I'm rockin' when I insert a link or something. |

Post-idol I definitely see a singer-songwriter vibe.I can definitely see her as another Sheryl Crow, who's proven for years that you can have the most mediocre voice in the world and still be successful with a guitar and some songwriting talent. I like Brooke because she sticks to what she's good at. She has to know she can't compete with a lot of the other diva-type girls, and isn't going to try and sing a Whitney song just like Whitney. If she stays in her realm, she'll continue to sound good, and possibly parlay that into a successful career after Archuleta's win. |

She was the best of the women last night. She won't be in the top 4 but could easily make it halfway. After the Hollywood round and her flop attempt at
keyboard playing I didn't even think she'd be in the top 24, so she's ALREADY exceeded my expectations. Anybody who can win the hearts of a
significant percentage of the people at Sucks will do fine. I don't think she looks that much older than she is but you can tell she's not going to
look great when she's 35. Part of her problem is the f@#&ing bright lights. She, Carly and KKKristy looked like they were going to be blinded by the
light (wrapped up like a douche, another boner in the night..) yesterday. I'll bet the guy in charge of lighting on the show is not just gay but hates
women. The harsh lighting they're using on the ladies would make anybody look bad. This week's lighting made Brooke look like Laraine Newman, not
exactly a flattering comparison.

I was very happy she was the first woman through. She deserved it. Aside from "Happy Together", which did nothing for me, she's the only one this
season I liked in Hollywood/auditions and has not disappointed.
I hope she can get over her nerves because they're starting to take over. |
