Regarding the PhIdol judges, the ABC-5 batch was already great:



Left to Right: Ryan A. (the host) works for the rival (and equally revolting) "Kapamilya" station, therefore he couldn't repeat his role for PyIdol. Ryan C. is an internationally-renowned composer (popularity stretches back to the 70's). Pilita C. is a GREAT classic singer. Francis M. is the only judge I hated, but I guess it was okay. Anyhoo, Fremantle told them to just be themselves during judging, and I guess the setup worked out well.

ENTER THE GMA REPLACEMENTS:



Host: Raymond, the closeted gay half of GMA's execrable Gutierrez twins (but we're not sure about Richard, either). Raymond's been trained to (first) imitate Seacrest and (second) lose that lisp of his that gets in the way of his Sunday noontime hosting.





Judge 1: Ogie, the pseudo-Randy. Married with kid(s) to Miss Australia 1994 but has a well-documented fling with a world-renown singer who's half a meter taller than him.



Judge 2: Jolina, the psuedo-Paula. An ABS-CBN reject who can't sing jack shit even at gunpoint. Although Jolina vehemently denies it, popular lore has it that she sings so bad, a typhoon was actually named after her by the Philippine Atmospheric and Geophysical Phenomena Authority.



Judge 3: Wyngard Tracy, the pseudo-Simon, is a retired "triple threat" talent manager who was forcibly pulled out of retirement by GMA to host the show. In fact he's so old I couldn't find a pic of him on teh intarwebs.
