As for people who choose to come on this show and express their religious beliefs that's their choice, if they do it in a way that doesn't force their beliefs on me than I'm fine with that.

However making a comparison between religious people and people with tattoos makes no sense. You don't see tattooed people going around preaching the word of tattoos and trying to convert people and make them get tattoos. You don't see them condemning other people because they have no tattoos. It's really not the same thing.

If you really want to get into it if religious people showed more tolerance toward others maybe they would be showed the same. As much as you try to do unto others and they do to you it gets difficult when people because as intolerant and pushy as some religious people are.

intolerant? I'm not 'intolerant' of the guy. I just think he looks like a fucking idiot. You know what? So does society. Sorry, but a guy that decided to tattoo his entire body, including his face and head is pretty much mapping out the rest of his life. It will SEEEEVVVVEEEERREEELLLYYY limit his options in life. I'm not just talking about being a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, I'm talking about getting a job a McDonalds making minimum - he's probably unemployable even there. Sure, seems cool and edgy now that he's young, but it's a dumb thing to do - period. We live in society with other people. That's life.

I'm not discriminating against him either - I'm simply commenting on the fact he looks like an idiot.

As for the religious tolerance angle - you kidding me? On this board in particular, ANY time a person simply says they are ' a Christian' people immediately start giving them shit. Whether they express any sort of intolerant opinions or not. Happens on every board about every show.

I suppose it depends on how you define 'tolerance'. Seems to me that in today's vernacular, 'tolerance' is often mistaken for 'acceptance'.

and Mrwhitefolks, I get that you think he looks like an idiot and perhaps he does but he's entitled to look like an idiot if he wants to. Perhaps some people think you look like an idiot even without your face tattooed. In many cultures tattoos are a sign of prosperity and wealth. they are seen as honorable. Perhaps not in American but America is full of self-righteous bigotted assholes who look down on people for not only things they can control like tattoos and such but also for things they can't control like the color of their skin and sexuality.

When people stop judging others based on what on the surface and start judging on qualities that go further than skin deep then society might be on the road to making a better world.

That's all nice shit for a hallmark card, but a few things:

- not everyone has TIME to get to know people and feel all fuzzy about them. People judge people on their appearances. This site is the masters class on judging people by their appearances. That's life. Deal with it. For example, you may see 'their individuality' but the appearance SAYS something about people. For example, when Britney dresses like a ho and flashes her coochie, it says something about who she is. When a woman who is 500 pounds wears exposing clothes to work, it says something about her. If a hoodrat wears baggy ass clothes and bling to a job interview it says something about him and his maturity and/or decision making. That's not 'soapbox', that's reality.

- As for 'bigoted assholes in America' - have you traveled much? America, due to the 'melting pot' that we truly are, is probably the LEAST bigoted country I've visited. There are some pretty strange forms of bigotry - that is, even within the same culture, but bigotry exists EVERYWHERE.

- Sure, in many cultures, having tattoos all across your face may mean wealth and prosperity. But we arent Maori warriors. Sure, in some cultures, putting a bowling pin through your nutbag is also a sign of prosperity and social status, but we don't live there. In some cultures, women getting tattoos of flowers or 'tribal art' on the nape of your back may please the fertility gods or pledge your allegiance to your tribe. In the US, it means you're a college chick who will most likely get hammered on vodka red bull and wind up with your 'prosperous tattoo' and naked titties on Girls Gone Wild. In the US, if you get tattoos covering your entire body, including your face and head, you ARE making a statement - your statement is 'I'm unemployable' or 'don't take me seriously'

- Sure, this dude can do what he wants. If he wants to get tattoos all over his shit - fine and dandy, but welcome to the world of reciprocity. Cover yourself in tattoos, expect the shit that comes with it.

- Not sure if you are a man or woman or how old you are. But lets say your daughter brings this guy home and says 'we're getting married and we are going to have 4 kids!!' You're first thought is 'boy, I really cherish his individuality - he reminds me of a Maori warrior!'? No, your thought is 'what other bad decisions has he made and will he make? how will he provide for my daughter and my grandchildren' 'what bank is going to give this guy a mortgage at a decent rate'?

Sure in 'AcceptanceLand' everyone would be cool and solid and people could run around with tattoos of Carrottop on their foreheads and have their armpits pierced, but here in the real world, that shit aint gonna fly.

Her tattoos wont help her. A guy with tattoos covering his entire face stands out. A chick with a tattoo all over her arm is yesterday's lunch.

Her Irish accent will help her stand out. Reality is, her voice isnt as good as others. If she was the shit, she'd be the shit.
