There's also the possibility of watching to see which person who had a shot at -possibly- winning gets placed in the bottom or goes. I thought Hernandez
may have had a shot, but after last night's performance, probably not.

If Hernandez is in the bottom or even out I think it has less to do with his performance and more to do with his being a (gay) stripper. His performance was a
little corny and cheesy but he still sang the song half decently and he was better than numerous other people, and better than at least one who won't end
up in the bottom 3. The AI producers can act like the stripping thing is nothing but people know (my friend's 80 year old grandmother knows about the
stripper thing) and people are judgmental and will look down upon him for it.

I personally don't even think it's the biggesst scandal this year. Just because a scandal has to do with anything "gay" in any shape or form,
people flip out about it. It's not a big deal.
Carly will no doubt be safe, and it seems people are slowly forgetting about her scandal

If David goes, the male stripper stuff has to be a reason (he didn't go last week, but Danny may have been even more of an issue for those who vote based
on a gay issue), but the performance doesn't help. He can veer into very cheesy, theatrical performances with the wrong songs. He doesn't have the fan
base to fall back on that he would if he were a teen favorite or if he were one of the rocker types. He doesn't have a niche, and being undefined is fatal
on AI. That's one reason Screecesha or David may be out the door tonight while Kristy Lee may stay.
I don't think Carly is forgotten. I don't think she'll win, but I think she's battled back from the controversy surrounding her the top 24 week and has been consistently fine since then. If anyone is fading I'd say it's Michael. |

I actually still quite enjoy Michael and think what he does will appeal to a lot of people.
Did anyone notice that they finally showed her husband but it was in pretty much total darkness? You could barely see him and then I thought the lights might just be down but everyone else's family had lights on them. WTF?

The only time i've even voted this season was for Aloha Kitty (like, three times) in Top 16 week. SHC must be burning up the phone lines, then. |

This week was Carly's best performance yet but she lacks onstage warmth or any rapport with her audience, which is why she won't make it to the finale.
Competing with Amanda to see which of them can be the loudest ain't the best idea either.

Singling out contestants by gender isn't holding much weight, though. Keep in mind there could be tweens, males, blacks, etc. who are into her kind of
music. If anything I think she's diverse and owns bits and pieces of each "stereotype".
