People STILL don't get that Brian threw the car challenge? He didn't need another thing against him when he made the F2 and he set up Ted/Helen to
scheme themselves out of the game. He had Jan on his side and the other two had no chance of swinging her. The mistake was at the F6 not taking Jake and then
going to Jan and telling her that they are forcing a tie, unless she votes with them, which if they knock out Brian at the F6, he doesn't sweep the last 3
IC's and they can knock off Clay, then use Jan to knock off Jake, and Ted or Helen knocks out Jan in the last IC.

If Brian threw the car challenge, why would he make to the last part in first place?

I've actually heard before that Brian threw the car challenge, but I've never known for sure. The main point of the entry was that throughout the few
days of the season, Ted/Helen/Jan failed to remove the obvious final two, one of whom was the game's biggest goat. "Raod Trip" is just an excuse
to make fun of the puppy murderer

I'm pretty sure Lydia going at 4 as opposed to Danni was because of Rafe thinking the FIC would favour older women and that Lydia would win, as had
happened in the past.

XtremeInnovator420 wrote:This is correct. That and the fact that Danni was deathly sick the last few days, and they (mainly Rafe and somewhat Steph) didn't think she could win a challenge. Obviously they were wrong, but I can understand Rafe's logic. |

Quid, I fully acknowledge that Steph's endgame was far from perfect, but she was in a tough position, and sometimes you have no other choice. You don't
criticize Danielle for voting off Courtney and Shane, when she was screwed either way, too. Sometimes people have to make choices that aren't necessarily
good for them, but are much better than the alternate.
but whatever, I love Steph and you hate her, and I don't think that's ever going to change. |

34. Burton refuses to guarantee Lill he'd take her to the end and leaves the women alone at camp to orchestrate his (second) boot. Quote: "So I promised him. I said: I swear, I swear. But in my mind, and under my breath, I was saying to myself...I swear I'm gonna screw you annnnd Burton." -Sandra Diaz-Twine The Pearl Islands is my favorite season of Survivor for a reason, and this blindside was one of many that made it so strong. I know that CR just did a write up for this, but I'm gonna have to do it too, kind of. At the F10, the PI introduced the one thing I hated about the season--the Outcast Twist, and while the principle of it killed me, the actual execution of the twist couldn't have worked out better. I think that one of the reasons that Burton was voted back into the game was because of the promise he made at tribal council that he would never lie to the other returning outcast. After he and Lill returned, they teamed up with Jonny Fairplay, and Burton and Jon pretty much dominated the game for a week and half, with Lill as their obedient pawn. After they voted out Christa, though, things began to change. First, Burton and Jon knew Lill had "issues" with lying to people and turning on alliances, and they pushed her past her limits too quickly when they insisted Darrah go home before Sandra. To make matters worse, Burton and Lill had a conversation the previous night in which Lill asked for reassurance that Burton was taking her to the end, and Burton kind of implied on the DVD commentary that it was this, more than the reward (which I'll get to in a second), that convinced Lill to flip on him. Anyways, Burton then said something like, "Well Lill, I never promised you F2!" WTF are you thinking Burton? Revealing the pecking order to someone who's not at the top is probably the biggest no-no in the Survivor rulebook! To finish things off, Burton won reward at the F5 (while he probably should have thrown it), and he got to choose to take one person, and so he took Jon, pretty much destryoing his chances of getting Lill back. With the three women alone at camp, they were bound to talk, and they came up with a plan to blindside Burton. It worked, and I was very satisfied. The only reason this isn't actually higher is because I think the girls were already sick of him, and he and Jon both alienated each of the other girls prior to any of this. And also, Burton dind't techincally have alliances with the Sandra/Darrah at this point, while certain other people, who will show up on this list later, broke alliances while simultaneously revealing the pecking order.
33. Amber and the former Kucha tribe members fail to split up Tina, Colby, and Keith. Quote: "Checkmate! You guys got me." -Jerry Manthey I can't really say too much about this because nearly all of the strategy that took place in Australia was behind the scenes. What we do know is that after Jerri was blindsided and Amber was not included in the vote, Tina, Colbly, and Keith kind of set themselves up as a power trio. Now I'd say Amber was the least at fault here, because everything I've seen implies that she at least tried to go to the Kuchas. What's unclear is that who among the Kuchas, in the week of Nick/Amber's boots, refused to jump ship. Most things I've read here said that it was Elisabeth, who Tina had wrapped around her finger, but on the DVD commentary, Amber kind of implied that it was Rodger, although she said "you" to Rodger, about not teaming up with her, and maybe she meant that in the plural, as in him and Elisabeth. Either way, they all seemed to acknowledge that Tina/Colby were going to the end, and I give them an entry here for failing to do anything about it. Had this not been so early in the Survivor series, it would have been much higher. The other two will be up tonight. |

As much as I loved Elizabeth and Roger, they deserved to lose for not trying to get Amber with them after Jerri left.

Burton was quite a dumb dumb.
Amber was too mesmerized with Colby to consider working with the other side, duhers. <3 That and she was a sheep. |

spnintendo wrote:No, Elisabeth and Roger were too concerned with being a part of the "good Christian alliance" to pull in Amber. They didn't like Jerri, so they didn't like Amber by association. Plus Elisabeth had something against Amber the entire time they were out there. I suspect she was worried that Amber would get the Colleen edit instead of her. Anyway, Elisabeth/Roger were was sure that Tina/Colby would keep them over Keith at the f5. Dumbasses This move is strictly Roger & Elisabeth's fault. |

Amber gets a bit of blame because she couldn't get Rodger/Elisabeth (or Nick, too) to pull off what should have been very obvious. Still, I blame the
Kuchas much more. Here are the next two. This next one, in fact, is quite similar to the previous one...
32. Kim J. refuses to side with the former Samburus to break up the Boran Boys. "This is the time to start thinking who do you want to go to the end with and who do you want off." -Teresa Cooper This quote was actually said by Teresa to Tom, who she was also trying to turn against Lex, but it can still apply to Kim Johnson. After Samburu's HORRIFIC implosion, displaying about as little strategy as possible, the remaining members of the minority seemed to be destined to a pagonging. Or were they? By the time there were only six people left, it was pretty obvious that Lex was leading the Boran Boys alliance, meaning that if a Samburu went home, the Boran Boys were sure to be the F3 (barring any immunity runs, of course). Having identified this, Teresa went to Kim Johnson and showed her the facts. With Kim's vote, the girls could take control of the game because a tie could send either Lex or Tom home, both of whom had several previous votes. So Kim J. had a choice between accepting a spot in the F3 (or she could have forced a tie at the F4), where she would at least have a shot in the F3IC and in a jury vote or being the assured F4 boot with no shot at winning a jury vote. Yes, she ended up going on an immunity run (which was semi-illegitimate), but that does not excuse the fact that she clearly made the wrong choice here.
31. Sook Jai throws a challenge to boot its strongest member. Quote: "Jed was sleeping and unwilling to get up. The fishing net went bye-bye!" -Shii Ann Huang Throwing a challenge is almost never a good idea. IMO, the only time it can ever work out is after a swap to boot members of the other tribe and protect your former tribe members on another tribe, as done perfectly by Samburu and Zhan Hu. Sook Jai threw a challenge to boot Jed because they thought he was "lazy," and he was kind of a loner with Stephanie... Hints for the next five... |

Kim J was one of those "too loyal for her own good" types. Really it's always about who you can beat at the end, and playing the way she did (as
their 4th wheel) she couldn't beat any of them.
Sook Jai dumbasses. <///3 Throw a challenge to get rid of Jed was quite possibly the stupidest thing a tribe's ever done. And they did it at the THIRD IC, as if they were effing Koror. Bitches PLZ. |

Huge difference between these two ladies...Danielle couldn't help being in the position she was in due to Bruce leaving, but Stephenie being in a crappy position was her own fault. |
