Okay, the Steph talk is kinda getting old. Quid, your hate for Steph/her game is quite strong, and there are a bunch of Steph fantards in here who probably
think she did almost nothing wrong the whole game, but I'm not really one of them. So I think the ranking is in a good place...and that's all I have
to say about Steph!

I like how you coordinate the picture with the font color, lulz...

Even if Billy were to jump ship, I doubt he would have turned on Cristina or Cecilia so it'd still be win-win.

The font color is always based on what tribe the stupidity occurred on. It was the same for the smartest moves list, but between the two of them, I may have
messed up at some point or another.
ETA: That's what I was thinking, Will, but Quid said otherwise, so idk.

Ken, Quid, and JSB all got one right, each.
20. The Koror women fail to boot Tom. "We can't get a female alliance together because Caryn sucks." -Katie Gallagher After Ulong had been completely conquered and decimated by Koror, Steph was the lone survivor of the failure tribe, and she joined the Korors in a "merge" at the F9. This meant she had an immediate target on her head, but she still perservered as Coby imploded (see entry #58) and Janu quit. It really looked like there might be a few switch-a-roos, when it came to who had the power at the F7. There was the Koror 5 alliance, which had pretty much dominated the whole game, and it consisted of Tom, Katie, Ian, Jenn, and Gergg. However, the ladies of this alliance soon realized that they would need to make a move to prevent one of the men from winning. Steph, Kaite, and Jenn got together and talked about the possibiliy of blindsiding Tom, who was by far the biggest threat in the game. Caryn, who was in the minority with Steph, was the fourth lady who could have sealed Tom's fate once he actually lost immunity. But no. She decided to go back to Tom and blab about this plan, which pretty much cemented any chance of a women's alliance in Palau, and HUGE props to Tom for forming this "relationship" with her (which was, ironically, number 20 on the smartest moves list). Somehow Tom managed to convince Caryn to settle for a "friendship" instead of something that could have probably been better for her. Caryn easily gets most of the blame for this, but how the girls couldn't get her to take out the biggest threat BY FAR in the game...iiam.
19. Jonathan mutinees with Candice and then turns back. "It makes me the guy who betrayed every single person in the game at one time or another." -Jonathan Penner Oh Jonathan...this was not smart. When he first mutineed, he thought that he was Candice's number one, and that she would choose him over Adam and Parvati...wrong. Candice was actually shocked that he mutineed with her, apparently, and it put a huge target on him within the tribe because he wasn't as protected as she was. Now if I were Candice, I may have waited until the merge to flip, but at least she seemed to be in a decent position until a HORRIBLE seires of twists ended up screwing her royally (rigged?). Jonathan, though...he was right up there with Yul and Becky at the top of Aitu's pecking order. Flipping may have been a mistake for him then, but I can't say for sure because who expected the HORRIBLE series of twists to follow? We don't know how the game would have played out without them. Then at the merge, despite those HORRIBLE twists, Raro still had a 5-4 majority, and even with Yul's idol, Raro could still go into the next round 4-4. At this point in the game, Jonathan was actually doing okay. The Aitus seemed to like him more than Candice, but his position on Raro wasn't...as good as it could have been. Still, by flipping back to Aitu, he made himself completely disposable at F7, which is exactly what happened. Had he stuck with the Raros then Nate goes at F9, and then there's a tie. What could have happened then? I don't know, and I don't think any of us should pretend to know, but if the Aitus did vote for him then (and the TB was the PRoD) then Jonathan would actually be in the F7, anyways, and there's a chance that he's still a crucial member of a majority. It's a case of playing it safe vs. knowing that if you don't take a chance then you won't get there anyways, but part of the reason I rank this as high as I do is because he pretty much killed his chances of winning a jury vote simultaneously.
18. Stacy and Dreamz can't keep their mouths shut about blindsiding Yau-Man when they know he has an idol. "I think the vote will be...split." -Stacy Kimball There's a simple lesson to be learned from this, people: BLINDSIDE, BLINDSIDE, and BLINDSIDE MORE, as convincingly as you can. Any time there's even the slightest, most miniscule chance possible that an idol can be inolved in a vote, do NOT under any circumstances, let the person you want to vote out think they have even a 0.1% chance of getting voted out. Stacy clearly didn't learn this because when Yau-Man is expecting her to go home in a unanimous vote, she announced at TC that the vote would probalby be split. Naturally, Yau-Man was not expecting this, got scared and idol'd her out of the game. I don't remember exactly what Dreamz said, but I think he mentioned something along the lines of how this would be a crucial/significant/important/revealing/etc. With Yau-Man thinking that it was just the number six person of a six member alliance getting the boot...well, that's not too significant, so that was a tip off too. Not much else to say except Stacy gets my vote for the biggest case of someone getting him or herself booted.
17. Terry fails to use the HII to lure any of the Casaya members onto his side. "Our group of four would like to offer you and Shane the opportunity to take the burden of tribal council off your shoulders for the next two weeks." -Terry Dietz Wow, Terry was really an awful strategist. In the quote above, he's talking to Cirie right before the F10 immunity challenge. Think about this for a second. Terry is in the minoirty, keeping his idol a complete secret, and trying to offer one of the best positioned people in the game safety for two weeks...
16. The fans screw up their post-merge Exile Island picks. "Erik is very naïve, so I definitely think I can manipulate his mind into sending Parvati to Exile." -Amanda Kimmel To clarify, this refers to Natalie/Alexis/Erik sending Jason/Amanda/Parvati to exile, respectively. I'm not gonna talk that much about Natalie because she actually managed to correct her error, although some (myself included) would argue that the way she did it was not the best move for her. But as for Alexis and Erik...wow, that's all. Apparently the girls all agreed that they would send Amanda to Exile Island after the coconut chop challenge. Then, knowing that there was a HII on exile because Jason was blindsided it, and knowing that Amanda had two days to look for it, Alexis (and Natalie, to be fair) decided to target Amanda. What's worse is that they didn't even try to hide it. It would have been great for the fans if they all voted for Parvati at the F6 and used Cirie's own 3-2-1 strategy against her, but no. The fans openly targeted the girl they sent to exile, who beautifully idol'd the favorites into a majority. Less than 24 hours after Alexis' boot, Erik made a very similar error. Natalie approached Erik on day 34 saying that they had to get the other exiled in order for them to have a shot at winning. Well, she was right about that. Amanda went to Erik and proposed a complete bullshit challenge whore alliance, and Erik sent Parvati, Amanda's closest ally, to exile instead. This led to Natalie's "smack him like his mother" line, and it's part of what got all of the girls ready to chop his balls off. It's not directly related to his epic blindside (which will show up later on this ranking), but there's definitely a correlation. Sending Natalie to exile could have really fucked up the favorites' game if she found the idol, but he made a poor choice. Clues to the entries in the next update... |

I don't criticize Caryn as much for the Palau thing for the simple fact that Katie wasn't going to be betraying Ian and Jenn wasn't going to be
betraying Gregg. Any notion that those four woman would have gone to the F4 together is ridiculous. Caryn would be voting out the male in the game she was
closest to which would have been a big loss for her, while Jenn and Katie would have gained a lot more power. In the end I don't think Caryn would have
gone any further in the game had she gone along with that women's alliance.
I've always thought that of the two who mutineed, it was more of a mistake for Candice. She appeared to me to be in the better position in Aitu. Parvati & Adam were in no danger on the other side. She could have easily waited for the merge and flipped then, taking Yul & company completely by surprise. I understand that in the end it was a huge number of twists fucking her over, but if I had to pick between her and Jonathan for who made the dumber decision for mutinying, I'd go with her since she appeared to me to be in a stronger position on Aitu at the time. |

Caryn was basically screwed by all of the pairings. Jenn and Gregg. Tom and Ian. Ian and Katie. She was the bottom of everything. Why would she blindside the
only person she had a decent relationship with? She would have lost his jury vote if she somehow made it to the final 2 (not that it would ever happen), and be
alone. Ian, Katie, Gregg, and Jenn would probably take it to the final 4, taking out Steph first, then Caryn.
Caryn gets 5th. Hmm...how familiar. |

Yea, I'd blame the fans for sending a fave to exile, but I think that Amanda convinced them that she didn't have the idol pretty well, heheh.. Will make guesses later! |

I agree with these entries in this update, and I'm a Jonathan fan, too. Seeing the fans realize voting out Parvati would be the safer way to go and Cirie
getting screwed by the very strategy she's famous for (not going to say invented, for obvious reasons), would've been AMAZING and would've made the
whole Tribal Council even more epic than it already was. Think, Amanda acts all upset, jumps up with the idol all happy, Parv/Cirie/Amanda feel all proud of
themselves, the jury does their little thing, and then Parv goes, causing the fans to grin ear to ear, Cirie/Amanda to shit themselves, and Ozzy to be
simultaneously happy Parvati's gone and pissed off that he has to see her in Ponderosa at the same time.

"It makes me the guy who betrayed every single person in the game at one time or another."This sounds very familiar for some reason. o.o The important thing is to not make yourself expendable once the side you help gets the majority. =O |

Jonathan's should've been higher. He could've remained a swing vote for a long time if he sided with Raro, and the idol would've been gone.
Instead, we get "zomg Aitu 4 4 life!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!111 lolz"
Stephownage. Caryn sucks. I don't remember Dreamz saying anything worth raising eyebrows at at TC, I just remember Stacy being the stupid one. |
