Album should be out in June according to Lyric Street (with Mark Miller at the producer's helm again) with the first single hitting around February 16ish or so. He's currently trying to decide between 5 singles. Or should I say Lyric is trying to decide. Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	If anybody SHOULD he able to beat the Idol curse of having their second CD sell a small fraction of what the first one did, it's the country singers. A lot of the people who bought these CDs did so through radio play and word of mouth, not from watching Idol, and most of the country singers didn't use Idol to plug their songs after being on the show (in spite of having a gold CD, I don't know if Josh Gracin has EVER been seen on Idol since the second season, probably because Simon hates him). Despite this, the second CDs by Kellie Pickler and Josh Gracin both bombed. Even Carrie Underwood had somewhat disappointing sales her second time. Was this because all of these CDs were so much worse than their first ones (I'd completely agree with this theory in Josh's case, and partially in the other two cases)? Or is this part of an unfixable problem with all Idol alumni? If Bucky releases another really good CD with songs that get airplay on country stations, and it flops anyway, we will know that it is virtually impossible for an Idol alumni to have a long and successful singing career. Time will tell.

Time will tell. there is one exception to this theory, Kelly. I like Bucky. I hope he does well. and the good thing about country, is they don't drop you immediately for an underperforming album.

Very much looking forward to his new CD! Hope he does well enough to be around for longer than just 2 CDs. LOVE his voice.
