not because we're lacking good characters imo (freddie, angel, sree, siavash SRY.IA REGGIE) I like the idea of Siavash, more than the actual person - I'm pretty sure they could have found hundreds of people to fill his role. And Freddie is just another trustafarian Tyler McNiven 2.0. type |

A Lying Down wrote:oh now you're just winding me up Housemates call Angel a "gameplayer" Noirin thinks Angel acts like a 5 year old Day 15: Some of the housemates have accused Angel of having a game plan, in a full blown bitching session about the Russian this morning. Marcus, Noirin, Cairon and Siavash were sitting on the sofas, as Noirin kicked off the session by talking about Angel's early morning swimming routines. She said: "She gets naked in the morning because she wants to have all the cameras on her, she wants all the attention. "She wants to get every bit of camera time she can get, it's a game. She acts like a little five year old." Marcus joined in, saying that Angel didn't know how to spar properly despite her claims of training. He joked: "From the waist up she is like two different people." Noirin then talked about Angel's attention seeking. She told the others: "It's a gameplan. She can't get any attention looks wise so she has to get it in different ways. The public want the personality, they want you. The thing is everything she does is for attention. "I think her gameplan has to be totally different from everyone else's because she doesn't have anything else to bring to the table apart from her weirdness." Siavash and Cairon commented about Angel's apparent wide range of jobs, questioning whether she was actually saying the truth or not. Keep an eye out! ~~~~~angel v freddie next week, worst season ever.ia |

oh now you're just winding me up But srsly, they are the same, except Freddie uses singing for attention-seeking instead of broad cultural stereotypes. And the Hippies were wittier. And no way they would let Angel vs. Freddie happen, what with them being two of the only popular people left - I don't think there's ever been a situation with the two favourites head to head. |

self-awareness Are you claiming self-awareness is a bad thing, or that Freddie is self-aware? Bc either of those statements would be wrong. I liked BJ, less so Tyler, which is why I'm not so impressed by his poor British clone. |

how is freddie not self-aware? ok, not entirely self-aware, but he at the very least has given the only self-aware DRs thus far this season
i think if tyler were on bbuk he'd be more like charlie: desperate, obvious mugging for the camera |

how is freddie not self-aware?The number of nominations he got purely for annoying, easily stopped, habits speaks a lot about how he has no idea how he comes across. And the fact he thinks BB will help his political career is enough to make up one of the most delusional ones in the house. (Also, if anything the Hippies were criticised for being too self-aware and knowingly obnoxious) And Freddie is mugging for the camera, with all the stupid singing, grandiose statements about how it's a "love house" etc. It's not like Angel/Freddie are much less attention-seeking than Charlie, they're just not awful people as well |

Noirin is becoming quite the jealous bitch ain't she? She's reminding me a lot of Big Brother 6's Maggie.

but there's a difference between having attention-seeking elements to your personality versus having attention-seeking being your entire personalityBut the personality behind the awkwardness is that of a gormless unironic rah-rah hippie :/ Maybe it is a cultural thing, since I have a lot of friends like Freddie so don't find him particularly interesting in his own right, just for the fact he's annoying everyone else. |

I love Captain Cool as Fuck and I love watching Captain Cool as Fuck lay the smackdown on someone who deserves it. The focus of all patheticness in the house,
Sree.
I unfortunately have to agree with Halfwit that the reason he was more nominated over Sree even though he is well aware both of them are somewhat of outcasts, is that he's more threatening. He is aware how people perceive him and why should he change to be something he's not even if he's aware? Halfwit is an annoyance to the ruling group and when one of them makes fun of him, the rest of the house pile on. On the other hand, just seeing how Sree is being treated in comparison, it's apparent some of the people there regard him as a pet. And I think that's the clearest way to put it even though it is insulting. But he deserves that label. Sree is a pet. He keeps wagging his tail going up to every single person, wanting a pat on the head after every little performance he does. He's harmless to them even though he's an egotistical blowhard attention whore. They still bitch about him and make fun of him behind his back. He just doesn't get it that that is what they are doing. That's the difference between him and Halfwit. Halfwit doesn't play up to other people and does not give them the satisfaction of being able to do anything to him. (But his singing is not good and I really wish he would stop it though. It's a little too much.) Halfwit is well aware of what they are doing. We need to start a thread listing the amazing accomplishments of Sree and his words of wisdom. So far we know he comes from a good school, Hertfordshire, which is comparable to Oxford, and that he's an expert dancer who has been to barn dances, classes, salsa and everything. This episode had him sucking up to Lisa, Kris, Charlie and Noirin by calling them his fingers and Noirin his thumb. And then he went sucking up to Marcus and Halfwit and apparently Halfwit is one of the flowers in his pocket, a friend he will have forever. He also has friends who are acquaintences and good friends but god knows if there are any of those because seems like everyone is a flower in his pocket the way he talks to them. |
