Marcus: 'England has corrupted Sree'

Marcus has told Sree he believes that moving to England from India has corrupted him and warped his morals.

They were sitting in the living room with Freddie last night when Sree decided to open up about his beliefs and ambitions in life.

He told the pair that he loves England as it has made him independent from his parents, and said he will return in 10 years to show his children his name plaque at the student union he currently represents.

"In India I don't have that much social life," he told them. "It's rules and policies... but here you can go out with anybody and drink as much as you like.

"I like travelling, cars, women attract me a lot," he added.

After he finished his speech, Freddie observed: "You speak in a stream of consciousness but it's not like you're exactly making a point."

The Oxford graduate then told him: "That desire to have your name in big writing, it's that that poisons your good intentions. All those things you say about your morals will be poisoned."

Sree looked visibly shocked as Marcus agreed, telling him: "I think England has corrupted you. I don't think you would have had those thoughts in India."

Sree defended himself by saying that England has taught him to stand up for himself, and admitted that not all of the students he represents are fans of his. Marcus's words did however make him reflect on his behaviour.

"I feel sorry sometimes... the way I talk and behave. I'm not intentionally doing it," he said.

Freddie then warned him not to take himself too seriously, or he would end up in a living "hell".

Freddie tells Sree that he's a hypocrite

Freddie gave Sree a dressing down last night as he advised that he often says one thing and acts in a completely different way.

The pair were talking in the living room with Marcus, when Sree launched into a speech about his morals.

"I'm here to share an idea, not give an idea," he told a bemused Freddie. "People say to me 'Do you want to be a team leader?' Well, no, I want to be a team member," he said.

Freddie did not hesitate to disagree, telling the student union representative: "That's another thing you say, but you don't act like that.

"You say you want people's opinions to be heard. But you act like your opinion comes first, you cut people off," he said.

Marcus then offered Sree more advice. "Don't come up with schemes and ideas. You know right from wrong in your heart, listen to it," he said.

Freddie continued to pull Sree up on his behaviour, and implied that Sree thought himself morally purer than he really was.

Freddie warned: "You would get on a lot better in here if you listen. It's good you've got opinions... but ironically you can find yourself doing all sorts of bad things just to defend that."

He went on: "Especially if your self image is that you're a good person. You say there's 50% good and 50% bad people in every country. But in every country 98% of people think they're good."

Sree seemed to consider Freddie's words, and decided to go and talk to Big Brother while the other two got ready for bed.

Sree begins to annoy fellow housemates

Sree has started to annoy his fellow housemates with his constant pursuit of Noirin.

The student told the Irish housemate that he loved her earlier in the series, and has been talking to the rest of the group about his feelings for her regularly.

Speaking in the garden yesterday, Karly remarked: "He went in my bed and he was talking about her and I said to him, 'Sree, I've got one thing to say pal - change the record.'"

Kris agreed, explaining that he had stopped giving Sree advice as he doesn't listen. He added: "He's gone from being an annoying little brother that you love to just being annoying. I'll still look out for him, but there's only so many times you can sit down with him and chat with him and try to explain."

Karly laughed: "When you're sitting giving him advice he's already thinking about what he can say back to you."

Kris joked: "You could be saying, 'The thing is Sree, you look like Minnie Mouse' and he'd go, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah that's right, but...' He wouldn't even listen to what you're saying."

"I give up, I can't be arsed," he sighed.
