Zhan Hu were edited as negative even though as whole they weren't, Jalapao hasn't been edited that way. If anything Jalapao has been edited as a pretty
functional tribe.

wow, I'm going to switch predictions -well, kind of.
The only one winning on Timberia is Sierra. The game is all about the JT/Stephen relationship -it will compose the endgame. Taj/Stepeh/JT will rebound with Sierra, possibly Brendan. Erinn will be the catalyst for the Tyson/Coach boots. Winner is JT, Sierra, possibly Stephen -although I'm sensing more Rob C vibes from him -doing all the interesting things out there. |

Tonight, Stephen and Erinn solified their spots as my top 2 edgic pics.
Erinn was MOR2 with a new storyline (with Joe) and SPV from Coach while in exile. Not bad when Sierra and Tyson are UTR1 with nothing new, and Red dominates airtime. Coach was thre only person with tone (cooking the beans). That exile alliance is dullsville. Though Stephen looked shifty dealing with Taj and JT, maybe he'll outsmart himself eventually.

It's strange how Timbira for the second episode in a row got such little visibility. It's starting to remind me of what happened to Airai and Casaya.
Airai (which contained the winner and barely went to TC) got nothing. Jalapao has gone to TC 3 times in a row now.
Brendan- total narrator, totally not good, I think he can be eliminated now Erinn- not as insightful or memorable as I had hoped a trip to exile would be--I still think she flops to betray some Timbiras and I think its very likely that she loses the jury vote, I'm going to eliminate her Sierra- I guess getting 3 UTRs in a row isnt too bad considering her tribe never got to TC anymore, and I'm not sure where they would really put her in they did show Timbira, so she remains my top pick by BY A THREAD Stephen- I'm worried his complexity is because he's forced to show strategy, considering his position and his tribe's constant returns to TC, where is his doubt? JT- if he's Tom this is good for him, but if he's Rupert not-so much. I think this was a really good episode for JT if he goes on a CP streak (and it looks like he may), strong #3 spot Tyson- probably can be eliminated but I'd probably put him as contender #4 if all else fails, he hasn't been too distracting pre-merger (especially with all this cool-off) Joe- I think he was OTTN! He was a total joke from not really caring about his injury to finding the fake idol to "I'M GONNA SHOW THEM BY GIVING MY IDOL TO SYDNEY"... Joe is a joke and he ain't charmin' nobody. Taj- surprisingly she had to be shown but she was not distracting nor complex... I highly suggest MOR4 |

I feel Erinn's story came too late in the episode and it was based on events. Something pivotal will happen to her, good or bad, but not winning.
prediction -Joe goes next and Jalapo is seemingly doomed -and then all hell breaks out with Tyson crying on his vote out and Erinn laughing. |

I do think that Joe will go next ep because the 3 big and only characters on Jalapao have been Taj, Stephen and JT, and now they make up 3/4 of Jalapao.

Funny how a few episodes back people were talking about how Sierra/Taj/Brendan were the face of the Exile Alliance and Stephen was the lone wolf playing smart out of the four, which was supposedly good for his winner's chances. Sierra's UTR streak has been steadily moving her from the Exile Alliance spotlight and shifting it right onto Stephen, who has become the strategic focal point of the entire game. Jalapao's game revolves around him and Timbira's game, when it isn't revolving around Coach, is all about Brendan and his Exile Alliance. What discounts Sierra at this point? I can understand that some people may find Stephen more compelling as a winner, but to say Sierra has a slim shot at winning seems rather ludicrous. I suppose the biggest argument against her edit is the UTR streak - funny how Bob had three UTR's in a row when the other tribe visited TC... whoa, so did Parvati! And if we exercise our brain to reach even further back, Chris had a three episode UTR streak that included two episodes his tribe managed to skip out on TC. So does this three episode UTR streak that conveniently coincides with the opposing tribe eating the TC airtime mean Sierra won't win, or does it actually fit the winner mold? Also at this point is when we need to begin examing jury connections, something that every recent winner (with the arguable exception of Danni the anomaly) has had, and usually has solidified by this point. Sierra has jury connections to Brendan, Coach and Taj. There's a potential connection to Tyson as well, and I would argue that Stephen has talked enough about Sierra to be considered her jury connection. Stephen has the jury connections to JT, Taj and Brendan. Sierra really hasn't discussed much of Stephen, and his bond with Joe doesn't seem to come up in the same manner as past seasons' jury connections. I may be talking out of my ass at this point, but Sierra really doesn't have anything going against her. It's definitely debatable whether she's stronger than Stephen, but with his piss-poor premiere and rapid emergence to claim the title of strategic distraction, I'm willing to stake my claim on the little taco stand blonde taking home the money. |

If a woman wins this season, it will be Erinn. But that's a big if.

unduli clone wrote: His premiere wasn't piss poor. He had an opening confessional, and he had a hike confessional as well. He was my #1 pick then. Sierra was the only person with a complex first episode in our overall ratings, so there were few candidates beyond her who had a great showing. And sometimes, jury connections aren't always obvious, especially with no switch and a winner on the tribe that hasn't interacted with most potential jury members. As well, Stephen didn't overtake the episode.... "rapid emergence to claim the title of strategic distraction" is a best fit for J.T., who was all over the episode, talking about switching on Taj (those confessionals were left to him). It could be debated, but Stephen seemed more like a puppeteer. Still, both him and J.T. are still my #1 and #3 picks, with Sierra at #2 for her weak but obviously tended edit. Anyhoo, just my thoughts. I'm still torn.

When a woman wins this season, it will be Sierra. I'm confident enough to say this. Seriously, Erinn has NO chance. Who on the jury would vote
for her? And edgically, THIS episode would have been her coming out episode if she was a winner..... which she definitely isn't.

Why? It's not a merge episode. Nothing big happened on Timbira, and she got enough airtime on Exile.
Next episode is make/break for Erinn. Hold off on ruling her out or not until then. |

Despite the placement of his minor confessionals within the episode, his premiere showing was entirely tied into the edit of others'. His truck ride confessional was about Sandy and his other confessional was about JT. He got to point out his status as the NY Jew and the geek, which is more than some got, but it was all edited to appear as though it was setting up someone else's edit. Could it have been a subtle setup to trick us into thinking he was talking about them when they were talking about him? Possibly. The fact remains that Stephen's premiere doesn't fit with any of the winners since Danni. All were big characters out-of-the-gate except Aras, who had a premiere that had a twist and screentime split between four tribes, yet managed to snag an entire scene of his own and plenty of SPV. Stephen's edit is really only comparable to Aras' and isn't nearly as strong, nor complicated with the screentime guzzlers from the EI premiere. Also keep in mind that Stephen went to TC yet was featured as an extremely minor character, if a character at all. (His premiere reminds me quite a bit of Cirie's - both went to TC and had minor roles, yet received what seemed like a tad-bit of personal development. Also, both seemed to be vacant from full sections of the episode.) Jury connections are still up in the air, I will give you that. Chris managed to drag some out of his season, though, even though his tribes did not house many of the jury members. J.T. was a bigger distraction than Stephen this episode, and I'll admit that one-two punch of J.T. and Taj as shields for Stephen could be an effective editing strategy. It should be noted, however, that every decision or strategic move of either J.T. or Taj was directly connected to Stephen or narrated by him. He may not have been the one making the moves, but he was present in every discussion as a strategic conscience, almost. His presence as a strategic force seems almost overbearing to me. |

Ben: MORN3 - Everyone was shown disagreeing with him about the beans and the beans were indeed burnt to a crisp, I think the N tone is obvious here.
Brendan: MOR2 - A lot of game comments and social comments. He still has potential to be the winner, but there's just something off with his edit even if I can't put my finger on it. He keeps getting relatively big episodes when Jalapao goes to TC and I'm not sure if that's good or bad for him. Debbie: UTR1/2 - More visible than usual, I think she was part of the voice-over for both the bean and reward scenes. Erinn: MOR2 - She's shown making an alliance with Joe, but I think that alliance will be shown to be a mistake. I don't think this is good for her considering Joe was shown in the same episode to not have any say in Jalapao and his other ally just got voted off. Joe: MOR5 - Everything he said was shown to be wrong, about the HII, about his alliance with Erinn being "powerful," about Syd being safe to the merge. His leg injury was shown again, which leads me to believe it will either cause him to get voted off because of it or he will get med-evac'd because of it. His edit is also what makes me think Erinn's edit is bad for her, since she is shown "trusting" him when he clearly is not going to last much longer. JT: CPM5 - Positive because nobody blamed him for the challenge loss and he was actually praised for his effort. Negative because he thought about voting off Taj. This is the first episode where we really see JT thinking about his social gameplay. I'm starting to warm to his edit because other contenders have been dropping (Sierra, Erinn, Tyson). Sierra: UTR1/2 - Could she have been shown more? Yes, but I think she was shown enough considering Timbira got very few lines tonight and she was the main "protagonist" against Coach during the bean scene. (Now it'll be fun to see all the Erinn fans call Sierra's edit this episode a bad one for her.) Stephen: CP4 - He's clearly being edited as the mastermind this season. The question now is whether he's a Rob C or a Todd? Sydney: MOR3 - What a terrible boot episode for her, she wasn't even shown trying to convince Stephen or JT to vote for Taj, her whole edit was basically "Joe told me I'm safe so I must be safe." I hardly knew ya. Taj: CP4 - She's shown to be knowledgeable of the state of the game, like at the RC when she had a voiceover saying she hoped Timbira picked someone other than Stephen or herself. Tyson: UTR1 - Challenge presense saves him from an INV. He's almost eliminated, he needs a big big merge episode to stay in it for me. First tier: Stephen Second tier: Sierra, JT Third tier: Brendan Fourth tier: Erinn, Tyson Eliminated: Joe, Debbie, Ben, Taj |
